Charles H. Hutchins, M. D. purchased this house in 1987
We purchased the property for family use and investment. We had enjoyed the house next door for 13 years before adding this one.
Great location; private, secluded lot; panoramic view of cove and main channel.
The most relaxing vacation we've had in a long time. Very private and quiet. The weather was perfect and the water was perfect for swimming. It was extra nice to have a dock to moor the boat up to. We spent a lot of time on the dock and in the water. Our old lab with bad hips was easily able to walk down into the lake and swim all he wanted. The house was very clean and comfortable for 6 adults. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, but we chose to cook all of our meals. The kitchen was very accommodating for all of our needs. Very nice grocery stores just a few miles away. Dr Hutchins and his family were very nice and more than accommodating. We can't wait to come back to the Cozy Cottage, and hopefully stay much longer. To the Hutchins family, Thank You, we look forward to seeing you again soon.
The cabin is cute and cozy and has a fully stocked kitchen as far as appliances. Just needs a really good deep cleaning. The view and grounds are beautiful.
This was a beautiful location - very peaceful and felt secluded even though there were houses nearby. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and even had a supply of spices, coffee, etc., available for our use. We hope to be able to return to visit again when we have a little more time to enjoy.
The only negative is that the beds aren't all that comfortable, and the sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable - even for our daughter who weighs around 100lb. However, because of the great price and then many other pluses, I still give this place 5 stars. If you're looking for a luxurious bed, you may want to look elsewhere.
Locating the property is easy to find , even at night (after the first time). Convenient to the grocery and to the major highways to Charlotte, etc. The dog enjoyed walking on the beach, too. Quiet with great views of the water. Well suited for families. A lot of room inside and a large deck. The grill was great! Hope to return next year.
The place was great but the lake was down and fishing was not good at all but great place to stay and relax !!!
The lake access and view are awesome. The cottage needs a good spring cleaning, an exterminator for spiders, and had plumbing issues. Also found hairs in the sheets from a previous occupant so again cleanliness an issue. Overall rating a C-.
Lake Norman has 529 miles of shoreline, and it is a fun place for boating and sailing, and our cove is great for water skiing.
