Ideal setting for those who want the convenience of a small town, quick access to a beach, and still be remote enough to experience the beauty of nature at its finest. This house stands out from others because of its location, not just its panoramic views... but also less fog, more sun, and less wind than surrounding areas due to its unique geography. It can be rented as a whole house or partially.
What a view, beautiful house, nice location, all the amenities you need.
It was a great stay despite some less than optimal weather. The view was excellent and we would definitely come back!
We had a wonderful visit to Gold Beach and Diane's home was a perfect fit.
This was a special trip for my grandmother. She used to visit Gold Beach every year with my grandfather for over 15 years. Since he has passed she has wanted to re-visit and enjoy the many memories in Gold Beach. This was the trip and the house worked out perfect.
Upon arrival, Steve was there to greet us and make sure we got into the house without any problems. We arrived later than expected because of traffic and the 11 hour drive! It was very useful to have the staircase assistance for grandma because she has trouble with multiple stairs. Right away, we loved the home. Very spacious, lovely decor, clean, and a good vibe. We were only five people so it was plenty spacious!
The kitchen was wonderful, well stocked and clean. We loved the views from the dining and living rooms. We enjoyed time at the house and took in the views. It was so much fun to watch all the fishing boats through the house binoculars. Wonderful touch to have those available for guests.
A couple of us enjoyed the hot tub one night and it was lovely. The back yard is quaint and has many nice touches. The beds were all very comfortable and having three bathrooms was a treat!
The only challenge (which really isn't much to do) is that we had some warm days and the kitchen/dining room area got really hot in the later afternoon. We really couldn't get it cooled off without opening up the french doors which allowed the bugs and such in. I think it is just the nature of the sun pattern and the big windows. Not much to do really, a screen door would not work with the french doors... anyway, we didn't really want to crank the A/C so we just made do until the room naturally cooled down in the early evening.
The four days flew by and it was great to see all of grandma and grandpa's favorite spots. This was a special trip and this house was the perfect fit. Although we probably won't find ourselves back up that direction, we all would highly recommend to others!
Five tired guys rode into Gold Beach halfway through Cycle Oregon looking for a respite from dusty campgrounds and port a potties.
Okay the comparison is not really fair, this house the best of any I have rented in this price range. Two master suites limits squabbles over rooms. Kitchen, dinning and living have stunning river views by day and equally enthralling moon views at night.
Steve the care taker lives next door and helped us immensely.
Not sure about beach access as we rode our bikes in and out.
My three sister and I had a "Grandma Day"with our granddaughters ages 11-13. We put there four girls upstairs where they had a big bedroom to talk and play games. We loved the view and each grandchild enjoyed looking at the boats that were fishing. We took them on Jerry's Jet boat which was a highlite for them. The grandkids really loved the hot tub and we had a relaxing time. Beautiful for bedroom home with a great view...Would rent again.
Raven Haven is a beautiful home with unique furnishings that give this home a terrific personality. Very spacious and a wonderful view. We loved it. Steve the caretaker was great and quickly assisted us when we needed help. Thank you for letting us stay here. We will be back.

Both north and south of Gold Beach lie dozens of miles of pristine beaches with no visible sign of civilization, except for occasional uninhabited teepees made of driftwood. This part of the coast is among the most the beautiful in the world and is the ideal place for anyone wishing to be inspired by nature. Rock formations jut out of the beach near tidepools teaming with life. There is world-class fishing for both sport and consumption. It is also a one hour drive to the legendary giant redwoods, the tallest trees in the world.
