Leedon park - a stunning 2 bedroom farm cottage

Bedrooms 2
Space 2,152 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Exquisitely decorated and spacious, this property will capture your heart.

It boasts gorgeous antiques collected over many years by the owners, who spent 50 years living in Singapore and travelling the farthest corners of Asia.

Leedon Park is tucked away in the hills, yet in close proximity to many wedding venues, wineries and vineyards, antique shops, cafes, 5 star restaurants, gardens, golf courses, boutiques, heritage and cultural sites, art galleries, and the Bradman Museum!

The space

You will love the house with it's high ceilings, natural light, fireplace and underfloor heating - which is especially yummy in the bathrooms! The sun reaches into every room throughout the day.

Each bedroom has it's own ensuite, just one of the many features that makes Leedon Park ideal for a couples getaway with friends.

The covered deck is perfect all day, from enjoying a steaming hot coffee under the morning sun, to a leisurely lunch, to relaxing with a glass of wine at sunset and soaking in the spectacular display of colours in the ever changing skies.

Drink in the beauty of the peaceful surrounds to the rolling hills and stunning view of Mt. Jellore from a smaller deck that sits over the charming pond.

And in the evening, snuggle under blankets and toast marshmallows by the outdoor fire place.

Wildlife is abundant and you might see anything from rabbits and a wide variety of birds, to kangaroos, possums and wombats! Not to mention of course the resident sheep, goats and alpacas...!

Guest access

The cottage is entirely yours to enjoy!

Huge living and dining area

Fully equipped kitchen

Fully equipped laundry

Vast deck with Weber BBQ and sink

Two massive bedrooms each with ensuites

NB: The two king size beds can both be converted into single beds as required.

Lochlan is usually available to show you around the property and to introduce you to the flock should you so desire. He can even take you yabbying depending on the season!

Interaction with guests

We will try to be there for your arrival, but this is not always possible. There is a combination lock entrance so access is always easy.

During your stay we can be as interactive or as discreet as you like.

Leedon Park shares the acreage with the owner's main house which is set well apart.

Please note that the property is a working hobby farm, so while we respect your privacy as much as possible, you may occasionally see other humans going about their daily chores!

Other things to note

Early Check-in and late check-out maybe available on request.

PLEASE NOTE: There are dogs and un-fenced dams around the property.

About Armanda, Lochie and Liese

Armanda and Liese are sisters and grew up in a beautiful house filled with these antiques and many more. That house was located in a street called Leedon Park in Singapore. So you will be visiting a piece of their childhood! Today they manage this property on behalf of their father along with Liese's son Lochlan.

Lochie will most likely be the one to greet you, show you around, answer your questions and help you out with anything you may need. He takes care of the maintenance and exterior. And he speaks fluent French. Bonus!

If you're lucky you may also get to meet Armanda who is an absolute darling. She's in charge of interior beautification and creating the lovely, inviting space that greets you.

And on extremely rare occasions you might bump into Liese who spends a lot of time in Bali! She takes care of the admin and interweb stuffs from afar...

Armanda, Lochie and Liese purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Armanda, Lochie and Liese chose High Range

The property actually belongs to our father and his late wife. They finally retired from Singapore at the tender age of 72! As passionate about their work as architects as they were about antiques, they designed and built their final dream residence in the cool beauty of the Southern Highlands.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Lovely setting to meet up with old friends in new places.

Fantastic family getaway with incredible views and super friendly hosts.

Just spent a wonderful two nights at Leedon Park. The house is beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. It really is a home away from home. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Quality toiletries in the bathrooms to a fridge stocked with all your breakfast needs. We went in the middle of winter but never felt the cold due to the under floor heating and fireplace. The hosts have thought of everything to keep a family occupied. There are remote control toys to use in the pond outside, a drone, kite and a cupboard full of board games. The highlight for my kids was being allowed to feed the sheep, hold new born lambs and play with the family dogs. I would thoroughly recommend this place and hope one day to return.

Beautifully presented and very comfortable holiday house.

We just spent a lovely weekend at Leedon Park with some friends. The house is nice and big, warm and equipped with everything that we could possibly need for our stay. The bedrooms are huge with an ensuite in each one. There is a wood fire and underfloor heating. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They were available when ever we needed anything and very easy to contact. The towns of the Southern Highlands are just down the road and the whole area is just beautiful.

Thank you Armanda, Liese and Lochie for a great weekend.

Owner's Response: Thanks Mike for choosing to stay with us at Leedon Park and you brought some rain with you too for which we are grateful. So pleased that Catherine enjoyed her birthday celebration here and you got to enjoy the sights of the Southern Highlands with a sleep in on Sunday. We will be adjusting our check out time on request details. Thanks again Mike.

More than what we could ask for

  • 5 of 5

From the minute we walked into the property, we knew we were in for a treat. The serene landscape that surrounded the house had a magic power of relaxation for the adults, and provided endless fun for our kids (aged 5 & 6 - we came with another family/friends). The house itself is a piece of art – generously sized, with beautiful artwork and collection of furniture (we just had to remind our kids to be careful), comfortable bedding, well equipped kitchen, board games to entertain ourselves, and many thoughtful details throughout.

We also enjoyed getting to know Armanda, Lockie, Charles, and Kai the happy puppy. We were treated like family, and exchanged quite a few stories. The connection with the hosts and locals always make holiday more special.

It’s perfect for Sydneysiders like us for a weekend away with only 2+hrs drive, and would also be ideal to bring overseas visiting friends and family in the future – a very special part of the country with beautiful scenery and lots to do (art, food, farms, forest, markets, collectibles, etc).

We really couldn’t ask for more – a most wonderful memory. Thank you.

Owner's Response: What a wonderful first guest experience we had with you to Yin, Nicolas and Nina. And what a blessing to have such a diverse cultural mix and personalities of French, Chinese and Russian families. You added to our melting pot. We are so happy you had a relaxing time at Leedon Park and enjoyed the beauty of the outdoor environment, feeding the animals, photographing the misty morning sunrise and glowing sunsets. Also for demonstrating your appreciation of our unique Asian interiors. We too loved getting to know you and are please to have made a difference in creating a memorable weekend away for you. You have all made an impression and set a good standard for us. We are in awe of Nicolas' 38 km bike ride to the Wombeyan Caves, a 1 hr 41min car ride away!! We will be adding an oven proof baking dish to the kitchen cupboard. Many thanks The Soapy Flat Family

Tranquility, serenity, exceptional hospitality and comfort

  • 5 of 5

This place is beautiful beyond words. We were treated as a part of the family. We traveled as two families 4 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 6. Two bedrooms are very spacious and we brought a double mattress for our girls to sleep on. Location is perfect - close to all the little towns of the Southern highlands but at the same time feels like miles away from everywhere. Sunrise and sunsets are stunning here if you are into photography. The house was spotless and the grounds are beautifully landscaped with a pond and a deck in front of the house. There is everything you need for a comfort stay and even more! The owners have sheep, goats and alpacas roaming around and ducks in the pond. The house itself is a masterpiece of art with antique furniture, paintings, beautiful light. It was a luxury and a great pleasure to stay at Leedon and get to know the owners. Our girls had a ball and we had a perfect relaxing stay. We will definitely be back one day. Thank you so much Armanda, Lochie and Charles

Owner's Response: We knew we were also in for a treat after speaking with you on the phone. First guests and first glorious Easter weekend. We are so happy your experience was pleasurable and luxurious. Your appreciation for noting the details, especially the colouring guestbook, paints and colour pencils, put a smile on our faces. The girls are a delight and well behaved. Lots of fun hearing about your bush walk, yabbie fishing and Mushroom foraging experiences too. Sorry to have missed the risotto. Thank you for your suggestion to provide books to read. Look forward to meeting again. The Soapy Flat Family
