This property is located on a dead end street, it has 93 feet of mostly sandy beach on one of the calmest bays on Lake Champlain. A nearly completed renovation provides lakefront living with almost no distractions.
The views from the new deck are gorgeous. Mornings should include a sunrise, ducks, loons, and a hungry kingfisher. Afternoons expect our neighborhood palliated woodpecker, (may have misspelled that), any how. I hope you enjoy your stay at Shambala North, Love the song. GUESTS ARE REMINDED: SHEETS,(2 queens, 1 single sleeper loveseat) PILLOW CASES, TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS are not provided. THERE ARE NO CLOTHES WASHING NOR DRYING utilities on premises. Please plan accordingly
We miss our place on the lake, but rather than it sit empty we would love to have it enjoyed by some guests.
Bernie purchased this house in 2003
If you want quiet, beautiful views, nature and just getting away from being busy, check this out.
Private bay, calm water, sandy beach, dead end road, sun rise, sunset, View of Saint Anns Shrine and Montreal, CA. Five different sets of fireworks July 4th weekend.
We stayed at this cabin for a week in August. Everything is accurately represented in pics and description. The cabin has been tastefully renovated and everything functioned well. No cable or wifi, but we knew that and brought our own library of DVD's. If you are into birds, this is one of the best places I've been to in years! Saw a number of new species, including a Scarlet Tanager at Pt. Au Roche (sp?) state park. Loons, Kingfishers and Ospreys every day. Eagles a time or 2.
Fishing is great, but not from the immediate shoreline. The included rowboat got us out a couple hundred yards to a rocky point where we caught smallmouth, rock bass and yellow perch.
Ausable Chasm is a must see. Pt. Au Roche Park has some great trails and seemingly miles of awesome shoreline to explore with no crowds. Hungry Bear in Plattsburgh for breakfast and Clare and Carl's for the requisite Michigan Red hots....
Thank you Bernie for a great week!
This lovely lakefront home was the perfect place to get away from it all!! The camp is just as pictured, it was very clean . The kitchen is large and looked at the lake and had everything we needed to cook meals. All of the furniture was very comfortable.
While the house was great, we spent most of our time outside, sitting in the adirondack chairs and staring at the lake!!
The views of the bay and of Lake Champlain were amazing, especially the sunrises and sunsets. The yard sloped gently to the water making it easy to go in and out of the lake for our elderly dog!! He loved swimming around with the ducks!
This home was in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood and located close to everything....while there we were able to visit Burlington VT, Montreal, Lake Placid , hiking at Silver Lake Mountain, The Ausable Chasm etc..most of these were less than an hour drive....etc....The town of Chazy is wonderful...so is nearby Plattsburgh....check out Conroy Organics and Chazy MacAntosh Apple Orchard...
This great rental provided the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure....we loved it!
This property has had recent renovations which were very nice. It was clean and cozy! Being that close to the lake was fabulous. Fires every night and coffee on the deck every morning really made it for me. It was pet friendly which was an added bonus for us. We had company that came by boats and they were able to pull their boats in right to shore due to sandy bottom. The camp is located in a nice quiet bay so never too rough for tubing and skiing!
Overall, great time had by adults and children. I would mention if I were to stay there again, to bring the pillow top off my mattress or an air mattress as I found the beds to be very hard! Never the less, we are seriously considering another stay next year!
In Chazy is the largest producer of Macintosh apples, a great school district, many of historic cemeteries, soccer is very popular as well as hockey and fishing. An average of 5 cars pass this house in a days time. Nice and quiet...
