Enjoy all of the modern amenities in this stunning, renovated home located in one of the most beautiful hill villages in France. The home features a second-floor master suite with jetted tub, separate shower, double sinks, and a balcony from which the lights of Nice can be seen at night. The first floor has a bedroom with twin beds, a television room with foldout couch (not recommended for an adult), an office, a full bath with shower and double sinks, and an open floor plan kitchen/living area. The kitchen has a dishwasher, large refrigerator, coffee makers, microwave, oven, and stove-top and is fully equipped with cookware and dinnerware. The home also comes equipped with a washer and dryer, which are located in a separate 'cave.'
The drive to Peillon is not for the faint of heart. Seven hairpin turns up a narrow roadway take you from the base of the hill to the top, where the village is located. Parking is at the foot of the village; one must walk up a cobblestone path into the village and to the home. The location is quiet and peaceful -- there is very little commercial activity in Peillon. The only establishments are a restaurant -- Les Plaisirs -- and an inn, with restaurant, called L'Auberge de la Madonne.
The home is best suited to people who are looking for a holiday that combines quiet time with hikes up into the mountain, day trips, and rock-climbing. Another village, called Peille, is a 2-hour hike away; a trip to Peille for lunch makes for a wonderful day.
From Peillon, a variety of trips is possible, including into Nice, where one may catch a train for day trips into Italy and elsewhere. Monaco, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Eze, Cap d'Antibes, St. Paul de Vence are all close by. Trips further out are possible within a day: Arles, Moustiers Sainte-Marie and the Gorges du Verdon, any number of vineyards, the Alps, the Var, Marseille. The beaches at St. Raphael are fantastic. Antibes, where Marineland is located, is a doable day trip for those with kids.
We are a family of four and visit Peillon as often as possible.

This is a unique location and the large balcony overlooking the village and hills is a beautiful, relaxing space. It was a great retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the riviera.
The house was very well equipped and we were easily able to self cater there.
There is very little commercially in the village. A small tourist information shop opens daily and a lovely characterful hotel and restaurant but that's it. It's very quiet in the evenings on weekdays but livens up at the weekend as people presumably get away from the coast and cities.
I don't think the pictures on the website do the place justice as some were taken at night but it is a lovely light house.
The Internet worked well and other appliances also.

Our family has just returned from 10 days in charming Peillon. The home is lovely and accommodated our family of four (two children in their early 20's) perfectly. The house has all the modern amenities one could want. It is very comfortable, well-appointed and well-located for easy car trips to nearby Nice, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Antibes, Cap Ferrat and more . What will always stand out are the sweeping views from the balcony where we enjoyed a late dinner each evening as the sun set around us. It was such a perfect and relaxing holiday that we are planning to go back again next year!
Far and away our best vacation ever! The apartment is beautiful, very clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and very well situated. We loved the terrace and enjoyed cooking wonderful meals in the spacious modern kitchen. The town of Peillon is absolutely breathtaking and a wonderful taking off point for exquisite hikes in the nearby hills and for quick day trips to Nice, Antibes, St. Paul de Vence, and the beaches.
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in ihrer luxuriösen Wohnung. Alles war vorhanden und sehr gepflegt. Die Landschaft, die Ruhe und die tolle Terrasse haben sehr zu unsere Erholung beigetragen. Sehr gut waren auch die Informationen im voraus bezüglich der Erreichbarkeit, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc.
