Cosy, excellent location

Great for two people, location is unbeatable, easy walk to all the attractions and great pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Flat had everything we needed, Catherine was super helpful and quick to respond to emails.

Lots of character

This is a lovely apartment with lots of character: exposed beams, wooden floors and doors, inset windows. The rooms are all a good size. It's three flights up from ground - but the stairs are wide with low risers, and it's easy to manage even with luggage. The apartment is only a few blocks from Leith Street with many restaurants, stores, and transit connections (it's a short walk from the York Place tram stop). If you are coming on foot (rather than in a car), be aware that there is a steep hill down from Leith Street to the apartment (but if you don't like hills, you probably shouldn't be visiting Edinburgh). The apartment is just behind Calton Hill with lovely views of the city. Catherine always responded very quickly to any questions I had before and during my stay. The wifi always worked fine for me.

Not Bad/ Not Perfect

The flat was comfortable. The toilet did not work and had to be repaired, the next day. Kitchen fine. The construction would make it very difficult if you planned to use your car. We walked everywhere (good location) so only a problem coming and leaving. No extras or niceties provided beyond towels.

I see you made full use of the tea's, coffee, milk and biscuits that I left for you. I find these items are always welcome by guests when travelling around. I'm also glad I was able to accommodate your extra 2 guests that stayed with you by providing them with a blow up bed at no extra cost. Again, thanks for the review and please do come back again.

Oxford Gem

Stephen very accommodating and courteous. Room was fine and private with bathroom. House was open to us including a well stocked kitchen. Would be hard to find a place in Oxford this nice at a better price. Location also good and easy to walk to town.
