About Kevin Griffin

My wife and myself live about an hours drive away from the cottage and had many a great times in Ayrshire which resulted in buying the cottage to enjoy a more permanent link in the area and share the experience with other holidaymakers!

Kevin Griffin purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Kevin Griffin chose Scotland

This property was chosen for its unique charm and lovely period features taking you back to the Ayrshire of Robert Burns time and located on a road he would have travelled on in the open countryside.

What makes this cottage unique

The stunning Ayrshire countryside views from the living room and bedroom windows are what make this cottage so special and a paddock next to the cottage often has horses which come right up to our fence to be fed!

Homely, well-equipped cottage with nice views/location

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is nice and has all the facilities we needed. I would describe it as rustic and homely and might not appeal to some who want a pristine finish.

As described the cottage is semi-detached and I believe it should be mentioned in the decription that the neighbour has many dogs as this may be an issue to some.

The views are lovely, particularly those from the garden and lounge.

The location is great and acts as a jumping off point to lots of lovely places.

Overall a really nice place to stay and I believe it would appeal to most.

Perfect spot to visit relatives in Ayrshire

  • 4 of 5

Lovely roomy cottage - comfy furniture, well equipped kitchen (though couldn't get extractor fan to work), beautiful countryside and beaches at hand, and lots of room for dogs. Definitely recommended
