3 bed, 2 bath spacious ranch home in million dollar downtown neighborhood

Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Whimsical Ranch is the perfect place to gather with family and friends to enjoy the best of Boulder's nature and culture. Originally built in the 1960s, the house has been immaculately maintained and features many original modern details. Light and airy in some places, and cozy and secluded in others, this house really lends its self to spreading out and settling in.

Located in Newlands, one of Boulder's most desirable downtown neighborhoods, the house is 1 block to the Sanitas hiking trail system, and a delightful 15-20 min walk to Pearl Street through Boulder's most popular neighborhoods, Newlands and Mapleton Hill. North Boulder Rec Center is just down Forest and across Broadway, and the neighborhood is anchored by North Boulder Park which has acres of grass, a baseball field, a playground for children, public BBQs, and spectacular views of the Flatirons, making it particularly nice for families.

The kitchen is conducive to hanging out and spending time together, and is equipped with all you'll need to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner: pots & pans, small kitchen appliances (blender, coffee maker, toaster, etc), kettle, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, baking dishes, serving dishes, measuring cups and spoons, etc. Dishes, flatware, glasses, mugs, salt & pepper mills, creamer & sugar bowl, and placemats are also furnished. We provide kids’ plates, cups, cutlery and a high chair so it will be easy to take care of little ones. The attached dining room has floor to ceiling windows with views of the foothills so that you can enjoy the setting while cooking and dining. The dining table easily accommodates 8-10 people, with more room for dining in the magical courtyard. There is a gas grill in the courtyard too for your grilling pleasure! The courtyard is substantial, the whole house wraps around it so it feels very private and peaceful.

The living room is a great size for this house with a huge couch, generous chaise lounge, and side chairs. Big groups will feel comfortable in this space and will love watching movies and playing games together here. We provide Premium Cable with HBO, Apple TV, Netflix, and secure high speed WiFi.

The bathroom closest to the second master bedroom was just remodeled in June 2013 with attention to making it fresh and new, while maintaining the feeling and spirit of the house. We're very proud of it and think it's been a wonderful improvement!

The house features 3 bedrooms and sleeps 10 people. The front bedroom has a king bed and en suite bedroom. It is very private and separate from the rest of the bedrooms which are toward the back of the house. The second bedroom features a queen bed and is adjacent to the sunroom where there is also a queen sized futon. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the 4th bedroom, which is also sort of a master, has a king bed with a spectacular leather headboard and bed frame.

All the mattress are brand new memory foam pillow top mattress with natural bamboo/silk ticking. All sheeting and duvet covers are made of white cotton and the duvets and pillows are all down and feathers. We use natural materials wherever possible. Non-feather pillows may be available upon request. We also proved a pack-n-play for little ones, so actually the house sleeps 10 plus a baby.

This is a single family home with room for 2-3 cars in the driveway and plenty of unrestricted off-street parking.

Perfect for a college graduation celebration

Lots of different spaces to gather to play cards or reconnect. Cooked many meals for many people and had everything we needed. Deck and BBQ space were beautiful and peaceful. Short drive to Pearl street or Safeway/wine store. Beds were comfortable

Close to trail, quiet neighborhood

Two blocks from a trail head, pre-breakfast hike for sunrise. About 3 miles from tourist area downtown and grocery stores, but bike share 4 blocks away and bike lane on street one block away. 4 nice bedrooms, 3 with shared bed (double or larger) and one with twin beds, plus two comfortable sofas. One bath near three bedrooms but one in master bedroom limited its access at night. Kitchen well furnished and very nice grill on patio. No garage. Excellent bike (road & mtn) and hiking trails. Was good fit for our group.

Active vacation

The house and location was excellent! Hiking and mountains right behind you and the downtown area within walking distance for the active and a very short drive with easy parking. House is in a very private location and would definitely stay again. Loved the trip hope to go back next year!

Close to trails, clean and well equipped

A short walk to the Dakota Ridge Trail, great for an early morning hike. Quiet neighborhood, 10 minute bike ride to downtown (15 using Bike share) for Pearl St., Boulder Creek, etc. Can sleep 10, but better for 8, depending on group composition. Good hot water and temperature control. Second bathroom primarily for master bedroom.

The Newlands is one of downtown Boulder's most desirable neighborhoods.
