About Bruce Kaldor / Penny Beaumont
Hi. I’m Bruce. My partner Penny and I, former city dwellers, moved to this area a few years ago. We live in a very tranquil and relaxed environment so close to Byron yet in a hidden rural valley which we are happy to share with you. We have friendly rescue cows that mow the grass and give us compost for our organic vegetable gardens. Geese wander and ducks do Leunig antics. We have bikes you can use to peddle the 3 km into Byron. Penny and I love living here, come see why.
Why Bruce Kaldor / Penny Beaumont chose Skinners Shoot
Within the 20 plus acres there is a large deep dam that is great to swim and kayak in. There is also an extensive water canal system that attracts a large variety of native bird life.
What makes this Cabin unique
Great to relax and unwind. Read a book in a hammock overlooking the dam. Great bird watching

We loved it
A little piece of paradise
Myself, husband and two dogs stayed for a weekend at this property and we could have stayed for a year! It really is beautiful and only a 5 minute drive to the centre of Byron. We loved every second. The cabins are comfortable but it's the outdoor space that creates the stay. Just peaceful and beautiful and with a great dam for our two dogs to swim. We cannot wait to return and if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just relax this is the place to go! The weather during our stay was not the best but it didn't make any difference - still loved every second. Would highly recommend. Thank you Bruce and Penny for creating this wonderful space.
Thanks Bruce and Penny for sharing your amazing property with us!
Beautiful property. Extremely peaceful and private. Surrounded by nature with farm animals, dams and lush green mountains.
The cabins are simple and clean, with a great little outdoor kitchen and fire pit looking over one of the many dams.
Penny and Bruce were so welcoming and accomodating.
We can’t wait to return with some of our family and friends.
A little peace of Heaven
We stayed 3 nights could have stayed longer we went in and out of Byron during the days and spent some time relaxing back on the property, great place to unwind and sit around an open fire taking in the stars and watching the cows doing there thing.Liked the shared kitchen area we Met another nice couple from the other cabin but also the cabins are private if you want to do your own thing.
Bring virtually all your own stuff ,except bedding though all cooking amenities are supplied make sure you bring towels even a rhode to go out side to the bathroom especially if it’s cold but that’s part of the fun we didn’t want a typical 5 star beach front holiday Appartment
This is different and appealing.
Bruce and Penny pretty much give you privacy and let you walk the property ,interesting people though if you want to talk.
Really liked staying here would come back again.
Thanks Bruce for leaving the Sydney suburbs to create your peace of heaven and share it with others.

Amazing, clean, fresh, pet friendly
Loved being there to get away from the hustle of the city. Very friendly owners, very well maintained & our dogs just loved the freedom to run, swim & visit the cows. We will be back, staying in winter I was worried but the cabins are warm & the new fire pit was amazing.
Fishing in the dam was great with a few big fish, still fun although we didn’t catch anything.
All you need in one place, felt like a camping feel but without lugging everything with with the bonus of a beautiful clean cabin. Very happy :)
Cows, fields and a fire pit!
Peace and quiet. Penny and Bruce were great hosts. Will definitely be returning.
