The Cottage is solar powered, has thermal hot water and an eco friendly shower and toilet.
A wood burner stove in the living room makes the cottage warm and cosy during winter and can also be used for cooking.
There is also a gas stove top and oven as well as a gas heater in the living room.
Internet is also provided if you want to keep in touch with the outside world.
The property itself has over 57 acres of sparsely covered timbered hills with its many walking tracks to explore the abundant wildlife and beautiful flora.

If its peace and quiet you're after then this is the place to escape.

Guests are free to roam all 57 acres of the property by foot. The property itself is accessed by a 500 metre unsealed driveway entered from the main Triangle Swamp Road, it is suitable for four wheel drives and most two wheel drive vehicles.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING WINTER
Please note that due to the cottage being off grid, the hot water supply in winter from mid June to mid August can vary and not be guaranteed if the sun isn't shining down on the roofs thermal hot water system. This sometimes is due to cloudy and cold weather, so guests may/will need to burn the supplied fire wood in the living rooms wood fire heater.
The wood fire heater has copper piping that runs through the heaters Flue and sends extra heat up into the 240 litre water tank on the roof.
THIS IS THE FUN PART OF BEING OUT IN THE BUSH AND LIVING OFF GRID, SO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE WHILE HEATING UP THE HOUSE FOR COMFORT AT THE SAME TIME.
IF VERY HOT RUNS LOW FOR SHOWERING THEN A 20 LITRE CANVAS SHOWER BAG IS SUPPLIED AS A BACK UP TO HANG OVERHEAD IN SHOWER CUBICLE.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT FIRE WOOD FOR GUESTS IS ONLY SUPPLIED DURING THE WINTER PERIOD. HOWEVER AN AXE AND OTHER TOOLS FOR WOOD COLLECTION ARE SUPPLIED FOR COLLECTING THE ABUNDANCE OF DEAD WOOD AND KINDLING FROM THE SURROUNDING BUSH AREA DURING OTHER TIMES OF THE YEAR.


Please also note that mobile phone coverage for Optus, Virgin and Vodafone is available but if your phone service is with Telstra then it is quite patchy for reception but as mentioned free WIFI is available for other forms of internet communication such as , Facetime, Zoom etc.
