This is a recently renovated penthouse apartment in the heart of Palma with its own large roof terrace. You enter the apartment into a small hallway which leads directly into the second bedroom and lounge. Here you will also find the staircase to the roof terrace. There are 2 bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. The larger bedroom has a large double bed and the smaller 2 singles, which can be pushed together to make a double. The kitchen has all modern conveniences, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle....

The roof terrace has a dining table and chairs for 4 people, there is also a barbecue and 2 sun loungers. The position of the apartment is excellent for visiting Palma, 100m from Plaza Mayor, a 10 min. walk to the cathedral and 20 min. to the beach. There is also an excellent fresh food market 5 min. walk away. All in all a great choice for visiting Palma.

Stairs: As the name suggests, this apartment is located at the top of the building. There is no lift in the building and three narrow flights of stairs up to the apartment front door. There is one internal step in the apartment between the hallway and the lounge and a set of internal stairs up to the roof terrace. The terrace is private and the stairs leading up to it can only be accessed by the guests staying in the apartment!

Perfect location and accommodation

The photographs don't do the property justice, it is light, airy, comfortable and after 10 days definitely felt like home. The location is ideal if you like exploring Palma, within 100 yards of Placa Mayor where the supermarket is - the main market is also within a 5 minute walk and is worth a visit for authentic Spanish food.

Accommodation is excellent with two of the largest walk in showers I have ever had the privilege of using. The roof terrace is a very useful extra for catching the never ending sunshine or an early evening drink.

Adam met us at the apartment and explained all the necessary detail - we know Palma well, so didn't need any information on the area, but as a resident of Palma, Adam does know the area well. One of the tips he did give us was to visit the restaurant directly below the property - can agree with his recommendation - worth a visit.

The only downside to the property are the number of stairs - but these were only a slight problem when arriving and leaving with suitcases - but two women managed fine - so they cant be that bad!

Penthouse 2 bed apartment

We had a wonderful time in this recently renovated apartment which looks stunning! My family and I really loved this apartment as it is ideally situated in the heart of the city center, modern, cleaned and has a great terrace. Complimentary internet access is also available in the apartment. The pictures were exactly as described in the summary, and the apartment was perfect for our needs.

Anna is very professional and accommodating. She was very helpful and friendly form the first email I have exchanged with her. When we arrived to the apartment, our check in guy was waiting for us, he was a nice person and he tried his best to explain about the apartment and the nearby area, offering his service by asking us to contact him any time we need anything. He was very punctual upon our leaving to hand over the apartment back to him. Thank you very much Anna and we do appreciate your great support and services.

This apartment is just few steps away from the shopping street with access to wonderful shopping boutiques, cafes, dining, grocery store, train station and a pharmacy as well.

The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, and the living room is comfy and spacious. We loved that the landlord had some condiments in the kitchen (sugar, salt, pepper…etc) as well as paper towels and pots/pans. We really felt like we were living in Palma. Definitely we will come back to this apartment.

Penthouse Apartment with private terrace

This is my second time using a vacation rental and I've got to say, I wish the first one had been this great. The owner's were very easy to communicate with . The location cannot be beat, 100m from Plaza Mayor, 5mins walk to the train and bus station (that quite literally takes you every where on the island.

The pictures are accurate, although they don't do a great job of giving you an idea of a layout, but basically you enter the lounge from the the front door, immediately left is the staircase to the terrace and the kitchen is at the back of the lounge. I almost didn't want to leave the place and go out, it's that nice.

I appreciated the fact that the place has everything you need.

I'm hesitatnt to recommend this place for one reason and one reason only, if i do then everyone will want to book it and then I will never be able to stay in it again.

Whatever category you can give this place a rating in, it would be 4 or 5.

Private roof top terrace

Hi Anna,

not sure if you remember us, there were 4 of us last June, we had a blast in the apartment, in fact we got a little bit sun burnt from spending too much time on the terrace.

We really enjoyed the market you pointed out to us, think it was called Olive market, great fish selection and a loud cafe in the corner full of old Mallorcan men setting the world right.

The apartment was really central which was good for shopping and sightseeing but we found for dining we ended up walking to another area, about 10mins stroll, where there were loads of restaurants.

When we left the UK we were worried about the heat but as you said there is plenty of air con in the flat, and we really needed it at night, I think being the top floor the flat really gets the full power of the sun and can get hot. Kitchen had everything we needed, most importantly a kettle, and reasonable selection of books too.

All in we had a great stay and would love to come back.

rooftop relaxation

Bad bits - a few minor niggles

The barbeque should be relegated to a skip in the near future

There was no wifi which was very disappointing and again should not be advertised as a feature if its not available, even if it was until recently there, very inconvenient when you need to keep in touch with business.

On arrival you wonder what you have let yourself in for as the shared staircase is very ramshackle, dark and unwelcoming. Don't be put off

Good bits - far outweigh the bad!

Adam is very helpful and accommodating, a great manager a real plus to have for any owner!

The apartment is spacious, comfortable, modern, well maintained and very clean. Has all you need for a comfortable stay.

The location was great for us very central, easy to explore town and sea front/ beach not to far away.

Plenty of shops/cafes/bars etc nearby and Mercat Olivar is wonderful for food shopping.

The crowning glory is the terrace what a glorious space to relax, read, sunbathe etc a really wonderful feature, albeit a better sun shade would be an improvement,nailed down to stop it floating away!

If the wifi was fixed I would 100% stay again.

Owner's Response: Hello Patrick! Thank you very much for reviewing, I appreciate it! I will change the barbecue for a new one straight away and see if we can find another sun shade that works better. The wifi we are in the process of sorting out and if I'm not mistaken it's working again. We have taken it off the description in the meantime so it's not misleading, but as soon as it's 100% working I will add it again. The building managers have assured us that the stairway will be spruced up during the winter, so hopefully for next time you are over it's better! Penthouse with roof terrace

Dear Next Guest,

we thought we would write something, even though it has been a while since our trip we still have good memories.

We were not blessed with the best weather being as it was February but we loved Palma nonetheless, good food and we even took advantage of the local market as the kitchen was really well kitted out so we ended up cooking a fair bit.

We really enjoyed the walk from the apartment down to the sea, through all the flower stalls and along the Born. The flat was well placed for us, near the bus station and in the centre so we could get around easily without a car.

The owner helped us with the basics, we like to find things out for ourselves, and we spent a good while just wondering around.

The flat had everything in the description, the aircon even heated when we got a little cold in the evening. We had a great time and now fancy coming back in the summer to make full use of the large terrace.

The location is right in the middle of Palma, so excellent for those wishing to explore all the city has to offer: tourist attractions, museums, shopping and restaurants. The location is a square just off the Plaça Mayor, Palma's centre square. A walk through the Plaça Mayor and down to the flower stalls on Palma's La Rambla is recommended!
