Thank you very much for sharing your home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Fairbanks and hope to return soon with the family.
Spent the weekend in Fairbanks during the ice carving competition and this place was perfect! We are a couple with a 7 month old and the place had plenty of amenities and the space. Love the fact this place sits outside of the city area and has an amazing view of Fairbanks. Only 13 min drive from airport. Also a nice place to park our big SUV away from the house to not bother the owners was a plus. We will stay again when we visit Fairbanks.
This property was fantastic and offered stunning views from above Fairbanks onto the city below. In addition, it wasn't drowned by city light so, if the conditions were right, it would have been perfect for viewing the Northern Lights. Unfortunately for us, it was a little too cloudy on our visit. But we were treated to a gorgeous sunrise in the morning.
The property is modern with all the amenities you would need in the kitchen (spices, oil, cooking supplies, etc. for anyone inclined to cook their own meals), bathroom (towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, etc.), a TV with tons of channels, comfortable beds, and fast Internet. It is also close to downtown Fairbanks and a few great restaurants and bars.
Shannon was also very friendly and helpful and responded to all of our questions, even suggesting places for us to eat on Thanksgiving. Thanks for the great stay, hope to see you again!
Private, with great valley views. Very comfortable for 1 or 2 couples/children. Exceptionally clean. Smells/looks new! Close to airport. Shannon stayed in touch during reservation process. If ever back in Fairbanks would rent in a heartbeat. Wonderful AK community. Recommending to family.
We recently enjoyed a 7-day stay at this property and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Fairbanks area. The apartment is modern and very well maintained. We all enjoyed the impressive view from the windows and very nice patio area in front. Both bedrooms are nicely done with comfortable beds. Shannon was very helpful although the instructions are so well done we only needed to check in once before the trip and then follow the instructions. Wifi was adequate for web surfing and email. The location is very convenient to the airport and downtown. The house is on a non-paved street but it is well maintained. This apartment was a much better option for our family compared to hotels.
Shannon and Steve's property exceeded all my expectations! The rental apartment was very well maintained and felt like you were right at home. The rooms were the perfect size with comfortable beds and a spacious kitchen with all the amenities. The large windows brought in so much sunlight and offered exquisite views of Fairbanks below and the mountain range. The distance to town is exactly as they state in the description, close enough to town but far enough away to have a sense of retreat. Shannon was such a wonderful host, that I truly recommend her rental to anyone visiting Fairbanks!
We loved Shannon's place. It looked brand new. Very clean... huge friendly kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. Nice windows to enjoy the sun dog with dual rainbows and of course the snowflakes! In-floor heating made for toasty floors! Convenient to many places.... we watched the Iditarod restart on the river just down the road, world ice art championship was also close by. For many years we have booked a hotel and I would for sure say Shannon's place is a more pleasant option. We hope to return each year if she will have us.
