About Luiz Macedo
My name is Luiz Macedo and I'm originally from Brazil. My wife of 26 years Sharon is from Baton Rouge and we 1 boy and 2 girls. I own a packaging wholesale company in New Orleans. My son I have a passion for hunting, fishing and diving.
Luiz Macedo purchased this House Boat in 2008
Why Luiz Macedo chose Venice
I've traveled all over the globe and my favorite fishing and diving place for the last 20 years has been Venice. I don't know any other place that you can fish and consistently catch fish like in the Mississippi Delta area.
What makes this House Boat unique
Here you can fish year round, a great place to shoot ducks, geese, rabbits, wild hogs and even deer. You can fish for bass, red fish, speckled trout, tuna, marlin, dolphin and you never know what you might see on your way out. It's common to see Manta Rays, Whale Sharks, Mola Mola, Turtles and Sperm Whales.

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay! Exactly like the description says.
We appreciate your feed back. We really strive to keep the place as nice as possible and the feedback from our customers plays a huge part in letting us know how we are doing. Thank you for your business
Great place to stay
Our group of 6 had booked 2 days of fishing and it was perfect place for our needs. The charter captains picked us up right at the boathouse. The place was clean and neat. The open concept was great for our group to hang out and BS after the fishing was done for the day. I originally had the trip booked in February but due to weather had to reschedule and Brandon was great helping us move the reservation. I will be a returning customer for future fishing trips.
clean with good view
great spot !
Pick up and drop off on the back deck, need I say more?
satisfied with the value of the accommodations
fairly satisfied with value. unit was clean. a few problems as listed:
unit number did not match with unit number on website
microwave was broken
outdoor lights on back porch were not working
Again, overall satisfied and would stay there again.
Beautiful place, great beds, and fantastic shower
Everything was clean and in good working order. Beautiful interior was a nice touch too as well as the huge walkin shower. It was even better than the description. Can't wait to rent it again!
If you like your saltwater rimmed by white sand beaches, palm trees, and tiki bars, this is not the place for you. However, if you live to hunt and fish, and yearn to do it 24/7/365, then this tiny community at the mouth of the Mississippi River beckons.
Despite its infamy as the epicenter of both Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Venice remains arguably the greatest place in North America to fish and hunt waterfowl.
In 2011, Bassmaster Classic competitors ran down the Mississippi from New Orleans to Venice—more than two hours by boat—to fill their livewells with largemouths. However, it’s world-class redfish and speckled trout fishing that draw the recreational fishermen. You will catch fish here every day that you hit the water, and you can’t say that about very many other places in the country.
If you get bored in the marshes, big-game fishing opportunities—from marlin to tuna, sailfish to swords—are plentiful around the offshore gas and oil rigs.
September marks the beginning of teal season in this waterfowler’s paradise, with more than 14 percent of the country’s wetlands located in this region of southern Louisiana.
