Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday cabin in Nancy - Dillon's Den

Open Plan Living With 1 Bedroom / 1 Bath Cabin (sleeps 4)

This fantastic cabin is located on Faubush Creek on Lake Cumberland (just across the lake from Conley Bottom Marina and very close to Wolf Creek Marina) in the Clearwater Subdivision. It features an open plan living space with one bedroom, pull out sofa bed and a very large open air deck around ¾ of the house. We’re in a very peaceful neighborhood and only a 25 minute drive to Somerset with all city amenities.

Our home features one bedroom (full size bed) and a sofa sleeper (also full size), one large full bathroom with bathtub/shower.

This house is situated in a secluded beautiful wooded surrounding with lake views year round although they are better in the Fall / Winter.

Our home is within walking distance of the boat ramp and has a large turnaround driveway (and private road) available for boat/jet ski and multiple car parking. It is very easy to park your boat in our driveway or on the private road and move it back and forth to the boat ramp or give us a call to see if a boat slip is available. The boat slip is shared between two houses so make sure to check for availability. Please note that any size pontoon rented from a marina is not allowed at our boat dock since they are too large. The steep decline of our neighborhood ramp would require a 4x4.

Suitability:
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only
  • pets considered
  • wheelchair inaccessible

About Toni Dillon

Purchasing this cabin was a family affair! We are two brothers (from England), Jon and Mark and wives, Toni and Lee, and we have been vacationing at Lake Cumberland for years (one of us since childhood) and it's just one of those places you feel like you want to put in roots and stay forever. Jon and Toni already own another cabin in the same neighborhood and when this property became available it was agreed that this was the perfect opportunity for the four of us to purchase it together.

Toni Dillon purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Toni Dillon chose Lake Cumberland

The property sits in a secluded spot surrounded by the most gorgeous trees. The deck surrounding the house is huge and probably has more square footage than the house itself! It's the perfect place to come back to after a day on the lake and it takes just seconds to unwind and relax.

What makes this cabin unique

It's a secluded spot so you have all the privacy in the world and although it's a one bedroom cabin the open plan living space makes it feel quite spacious and comfortable.

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway that was located in a peaceful, quiet, and natural setting. We enjoyed the beautiful overlook to Lake Cumberland from the spacious deck. This cabin provides the perfect stay for those who are interested in relaxing in a quiet setting surrounded by nature. Many thanks to the Dillon's for allowing us to stay at there beautiful property!

Cute and cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Overall this cabin was great! It was the perfect size and was fairly close to things. The deck and yard were beautiful and our dog loved playing fetch!

The swimming area was nice, but it's very rock on the shore, so I would recommend bringing some water shoes. Beware - the walk to the swimming area going down is fine but it's basically all up hill on the way back. It's a great workout, but just a heads up!

We loved this cabin and couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary!

Great place to stay for a small family of 4.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back. The place was nice and clean and a little secluded in the woods. We had our own boat slip and there was a community boat ramp that made it very convenient. Looking forward to coming back.

Awesome Weekend Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Toni's little cabin. Loved the large lot, huge deck, and private location in the woods. The cabin was spotless and perfect for a couple or small family. Will definitely recommend and try to stay again next year.

Very secluded, private and cozy!

  • 4 of 5

It was a bit difficult to find and on a gravel road but once we got there, we were pleasantly surprised by the interior. It was so quiet & perfect for a romantic getaway!

We brought our boat & the ramp was close & convenient. No radio or local TV but that was the only negative thing. We would like to go back in the fall!

Welcome to beautiful Lake Cumberland, Kentucky - the vacation destination for millions of boaters, fishermen, and lake-lovers each year. We can introduce you to all Lake Cumberland has to offer whether it be romance and excitement, peace and tranquility, a family get-away, or just plain fun!

Lake Cumberland boasts many marinas providing boat rentals from fishing boats to state of the art houseboats; lake side restaurants, golf courses, nature trails, water falls and much more!

Guests to Lake Cumberland can take a scenic horseback ride, feed the trout at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery, or catch a play or musical production at the historic Star Theater.

Golfers can enjoy playing on our beautiful courses. The Lake Cumberland Golf Club at Lily Creek Resort and Lakewood Country Club are 18-hole championship courses with driving ranges and practice greens.

Enjoy fishing and ready to catch the big one? Lake Cumberland offers trophy-size stripers and hold the state records for brown and rainbow trout and walleye. For fly fishermen, the Cumberland River below Wolf Creek Dam offers some of the best trout fishing anywhere.

Take your time and browse through our many antique, craft, and specialty shops in downtown Russell Springs and Jamestown. You are guaranteed to find the perfect treasure.

Whether you are looking for a weekend get-away, week-long vacation, a Fall foliage tour, houseboat vacation, or racing across the lake, Lake Cumberland is the place to visit.

This area of Lake Cumberland is visited frequently by boaters and fisherman in the summer months, but I would also highly recommend it in the fall. The crowds thin out when the temperatures cool off, the lake is quiet and tranquil and it’s a time of year when the leaves turn brilliant shades of crimson, orange and yellow. The fall colors here are brilliant and the clear nights put on a star show like no other.
