Looking for a farm stay with real country living where you can mingle with farm animals and enjoy sweeping panoramic views? Just 10 minutes from Buninyong and 25 minutes from Ballarat, Glenleigh's guests' wing is private, self-contained with plenty of space, private deck, sweeping views of the Yarrowee River Valley and across to Mt Buninyong and Mt Mercer. The property has bush walks and is a working farm with people-friendly sheep and goats. Your host, Peter, lives on the property and is always available to greet guests upon arrival and to tend to any needs guests may have. There is a library with an extra single bed, satellite TV and free Netflix. There is free wi-fi internet. Look for special packages, weekend packages and updated events, photos and activities on our page on F acebook or contact Glenleigh Country Farm.
The northern wing is exclusive to guests during their stay. This consists of a well-appointed bedroom, a separate library and television room (which can also accommodate a single sleeper), private bathroom, walk-in wardrobe with plenty of space and your own private balcony with outdoor seating. Guests also have access to the shared living and dining areas of the house, kitchen, barbecue, garden and outdoor areas.
I'm usually available for guests during their stay but I occupy a different area of the house so guests can have the best use of their accommodation and the central living area for their enjoyment with privacy. I'm happy to fit in with your needs. From time to time there will be other tenants, guests or family members staying in the private south or west-end areas of the house and there occasionally will be casual visitors to the farm. Guests' rooms, bathrooms, balcony and library are all separate so your privacy is assured at all times. All rooms are fitted with locks for your security.
Glenleigh is in a quiet, remote location. The nearest shops are 12km away at Buninyong. Guests who wish to cook their own dinner and eat in are welcome to do so. If arriving at Glenleigh after 8pm guests are advised to purchase provisions for dinner before arrival, as there are few shops open late that are easily accessed at night. The guests’ compendium contains recommendations for local eateries, most of which serve meals until 9.30pm. The guests' fridge is stocked with materials for a good and hearty cooked breakfast for each day of a stay - bread, butter, eggs, bacon or sausages. A selection of cereals, milk and juice is also available. There is a toaster and hot-water jug available for guests 24/7. Please let us know before your stay if you have any particular dietary needs, tastes or preferences for your breakfast. Glenleigh will always endeavour to provide you with all the produce for a tasty, nutritious breakfast.
