''My two family members and dog stayed here and it was a lovely, very clean, and exceptional place to stay. We had such a relaxing weekend. The restaurants nearby and Tubac Art Village just made it special. Of course we shopped and visited nearby Tumacacori as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.'' Dottie and Dave, La Jolla,CA

The unique location of Tubac is blessed with great weather year around. It is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer compare to Tucson and Scottsdale. There is no comparison to the star-rich skies of Tubac in the whole country.
Enjoy the outdoor year round heated pool and SPA. Walk out the door and hike the Santa Cruz trail or drive 5 minutes to the spectacular golf resort.
The condo was clean and exactly what we expected. We have been to Tubac on many occasions and always have a great time. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, riding our bikes and golfing. People around the pool area are really friendly and I plan to join the morning water aerobics next time.
We have stayed in Tubac since 2008, so we know the town and the options. This year, we got away earlier and it was more difficult to find accommodations near the village that accepts our dog. This was our first time in the townhouses and the location turned out to be convenient and quiet. The two master suite unit was spacious enough for the two of us. And although we are both fit, we opted not to climb the stairs several times daily, so we did not use the larger of the two suites as our bedroom. Overall, the unit is furnished nicely with comfortable living room furniture, dining table, large screen TV with cable and Internet.
The unit faces west and therefore, downstairs is dark throughout most of the day. During the winter months, the sun does not get high enough to chase away the shade in the courtyard, although there is a very small patio adjacent to the upstairs master that does get sun.
We checked in on Christmas Eve and by the next morning, we requested replacement lightbulbs to those burnt out, dish towels and a drain board. We were amazed to receive all these supplies by mid-afternoon on Christmas Day! Same quick response when the hot water heater conked out. Repairmen were there quickly and got it fixed by replacing the elements.
However, the unit needs a deep and throughout cleaning and the clutter removed. The dishwasher has seen better days, it was stained inside, so we did not use it. The carpet in the bedrooms are stained and there is dust on windowsills and baseboards.
While I don't mind a few food supplies left for our use, i.e sugar, salt & pepper, there were so much left behind and in all cabinets that I had to consolidate in one area, just to put our supplies away. While the kitchen has the basics in dishes, kitchen knives and cutlery, it was the hodge-pudge of cheap kitchen tools and various other odds and ends that gave the impression that we were borrowing a college student's apartment for a weekend.
The downstairs queen bed was comfortable and looked new (upstairs has a foam mattress), the sheets have seen many launderings and hand towels and face cloths were stained and frayed.
We did not use the pool or workout facilities, preferring to walk the Anza Trail or golf at the resort, although we liked having the option.
The place was clean and very nice. I could hear all the traffic from the highway all night long but I started running the ceiling fan and that helped a lot. I would use the townhouse again.
We have loved staying in this condo. It is well kept up by owner and he responded to a problem we had immediately. It is very close to the pool so we could walk there for a morning in the sun. I would highly recommend this condo.
Four of us (two couples) stayed in this wonderful 2br, 2ba condo for 3nights. It is in a great location, south of Tucson. We had a great time in the area. We would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to stay in this area, and who wants a great and comfortable place to stay.
This condo is cute, but not well taken care of or well supplied. Information was lacking about what we were expected to have available and what we should bring. We were staying for three nights. There was no shower soap or dish washer soap. Lots of TP, however, and a variety of other supplies. The main dishes and glasses are nice and are a set, but everything else is a little of this and a little of that. The silver ware is inadequate in quantity and quality. The towel supply was minimal. Bedding was fine. The fireplace worked and smelled of gas so we called the manager. It had a leak that was repaired, but we couldn't use the fireplace because it needed servicing. It was actually freezing temps while we were there and the fire place would have been enjoyable. The T.V. is inadequate for the size of the room. Many light bulbs were out and the lighting was therefore quite dim. There were several places where there were large cobwebs. The surface areas were clean and recently dusted, as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. We liked the place and had a good time, but it really needs some special attention. Believe me, there were even more items I could have mentioned.
Our Tubac town home at the Embarcadero is located in a peaceful gated community, on the south side of Tubac. It has shared year-around heated out-door pool and SPA comparable to the luxury resorts.
Surrounded by the Santa Rita, the Tumacacori and St. Cayatano mountains, it offers great hiking trails, up the mountains and along the Santa Cruz river. There is a park within 5 minutes walking and 27 holes championship golf course a mile away.
The town of Tubac offers fine dining alongside arts and crafts galleries with out door open exhibitions.
While here make sure to include the special local attraction in your site seeing; going up on highway I-19 towards Tucson you could enjoy the spectacular cacti birds and wildlife at the Seguaro National Park; take a tour at the deep into the ground into the top secret long-range Titan missile base and don't skip the breathtaking tour at the famous Pima copper mine.
If you like to challenge yourself you may want to hike mt. Wrightson up to the summit at 9,453 feet or bike up mt. Lemmon (9,157 feet), on the north side of Tucson where you could also ski in the winter time.
