This fully self-contained family friendly space has two bedrooms with queen beds and access to a porta-cot and highchair if you need it. We are only a short walk to bus or train with quick access to Brisbane city or drive in 10 mins. There are many shops within 5 mins walk. We are pet friendly but this space is only suitable for house trained small indoor pets as there is no access to the yard but small pets can be walked to the grass area at the front of the property to relieve themselves.
Our space is large and airy on the ground floor of our two level home. We live upstairs but we are a quiet couple who don't party. We occasionally have our family for a bbq but would be on the deck away from our guests. There are two bedrooms, each with a very comfortable queen size bed. There is a large lounge/dining room with 3 seater lounge, 2 recliners, a television and dvd player. The area has an air-conditioner and is very cool in summer and warm in winter so I think you would be comfortable as it is (an oil heater is also provided). There is a laundry/kitchen area when you enter the apartment. The space is completely separate and your privacy is respected. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge / freezer), microwave, kettle, toaster, Lavazza coffee pod machine, electric wok, an electric hotplate, a George Foreman grill and a rice cooker/vegetable steamer.
The space will be your own during your stay. There is access to a BBQ upon request. There is free car parking on the street directly outside the accommodation. If you are travelling with a trailer or boat there is also plenty of space on the street for those too.
We love to help our guests with anything to make their stay more comfortable. We can be contacted by msg or phone call. We are very respectful of our guests privacy but we also enjoy getting to know our guests over a glass of wine if our guests choose to join us.
Things to Note:
We are on the flight path into Brisbane Domestic and International airport, just 20 minutes away. Most of our guests are not bothered by the planes and they don't fly over during the night. We have a couple of busy times but sometimes nothing at all if the flights change and we are on the outgoing path. The unit is also on the ground floor of our house and being the typical Queenslander style home the occasional noise and movement can be heard from above. Whilst we are very mindful of our guests and try to keep the noise to a minimum it's something we like tell our guests about so you are aware.
Camp Hill is a lovely, quiet, family-friendly area. There are lots of trees and fresh bay breezes as we are only 20 minutes drive to the beautiful Moreton Bay.
There is a wonderful park and playground in Perth Street which is a five minute walk. There is a dog off-leash area at Perth Street park and also at the netball courts off Bennett's Road in the opposite direction.
There are restaurants at the end of our street and coffee shops in every direction. Southbank parklands are only 15 minutes away where you will find restaurants, play grounds, inner-city beach & pool, museum, art gallery and entertainment centres as well as the convention centre.
There is a train 10 minutes walk away at Norman Park station and this will take you to Brisbane City with connections to Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast or to Cleveland, which is the gateway to Moreton Bay.
The buses go from Perth Street or from Old Cleveland Road (both within 5 minutes walk). You can look on translink website for Brisbane to plan your journey. A 'go-card' purchased from any Newsagency will make your trips cheaper and easier and can be used on buses, trains, ferries or the city cat (water taxi).
