About the property

A bright apartment with the best address in Chelsea and wonderful views of the river, not far from the King's Road with its fabulous choice of shops and restaurants.

Area description: This is a great address as Cheyne Walk was, and still is, considered the most fashionable street in Chelsea. This block of flats is on the corner of Flood Street, once the home of Margaret Thatcher. From here you could spend many a happy hour walking up the lively King's Road towards Sloane Square (maybe taking a bus part way), as this part of town is memorable for the multitude and quality of its shopping and gourmet options. Walks along the riverside avenues make a refreshing change of scene.

Tube: Sloane Square, 15 minutes walk (Circle and District lines). Frequent bus services along the King's Road and Royal Hospital Road.

Accommodation: A second floor apartment in a beautiful mansion block with views of the river. Wifi Internet. No lift.

Decoration: Typical English with some period pieces and a neutral colour scheme.

Reception description: A pleasantly light, bright room with a gleaming wood floor and lots of windows (double-glazed) overlooking the river. The original fireplace and large mirror above it make a handsome focal point. There is a large sofa and a round dining table that seats eight has been cleverly fitted into the rounded window recess with bench seating. Some Oriental art pieces add an individual note, and there is a digital TV and stereo system.

Kitchen description: The kitchen has been planned to include all the essential appliances, with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment and washer/dryer.

Bedrooms description: Good size bedroom with a UK super king bed, antique dressing table and good cupboard space.

Bathrooms description: The bathroom has been totally refurbished and now has a bath and a wall mounted shower with a rain head. A glass partition is attached to the bath tub. There is a wash basin, a loo and a mirror cupboard with storage space for toiletries.
