This very special treehouse style cottage will have you falling in love with a side of Hawaii rarely seen anymore. Although modern and beautifully arcitectured it offers the jungle up to you. Every window looks out to tropical lush beauty. A wrap around screened lanai overlooking valley and mountains provides the perfect setting for romantic evening dining or morning coffee and jungle song bird musing. The large kitchenette is well supplied with stay at home cooking in mind. All the most amazing north shore beaches as well as the famous Kalalau Trail are mere minutes away and if you want to feel a little adventurous you can walk to the river for an evening dip in the jungle swimming hole. Take your camera because the river birds are beautiful. Best of all is the big comfy king bed and the star gazing skylight above you.

Dear Dawn, I couldn't find a spot on the VRBO link to enter a review so I shall just enter here.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Turtle. We arrived late at night after a long travel day and fell into the WONDERFUL bed without knowing what to expect in the morning. It rained all night--that glorious jungle rain. Imagine our delight to wake up to bird calls and the spectacular view of the mountains embellished with our first of many rainbows. We appreciated the zen-like simplicity of the Sea Turtle's hexagonal structure, the peace of the jungle, the joy of showering under the waterfall showerhead while viewing the mountains and jungle wilds, and the glory of breakfast on the lanai.
Although I would have appreciated some standard amenities like towel bars to hang up wet towels, a robe hook, and an attached soap dish in the shower, we had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and convenient to Hanalei, ( 10-15 minutes by car) and the west end beaches,. The short jaunt to the Bay Colony Coffee shop was also a treat.
Thank you for creating such a delightful retreat for us.

** you made a brilliant investment in the bed! We usually have back pain when we sleep in hotel beds, Mike wants me to ask you the brand name and model of the mattress and springs. **
I stayed for a week in this cute cottage. Dawn was great and assisted in anything we needed. We flew in late and when we got to the cottage she had the lights on waiting for us. Its a short walk down the road to the Ocean and a very short drive maybe 1-2 miles to the end of the road. Also there is taxi services and was a 14 dollar cab ride in to town. Thanks again Dawn for the great stay!

We had such a wonderful time in this little jungle getaway. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed our morning coffee out on the deck watching birds and butterflies in the lush trees and vines. The big room is very well designed and the bathroom and shower tucked away outside were also pleasantly appointed. The towels and linens were high quality. It is also located at the special end of the island, lots to see.
We enjoyed our stay and could not have been happier. Was the perfect place to relax for a few days after hiking the Kalalau trail. Had some of the best sleeps in my life there.
My wife and I loved staying at the Sea Turtle Cottage for our honeymoon. We loved relaxing up in the jungle after long days hiking or on the beach. The cottage is very private and we loved the setup. The caretaker Matty was very accommodating and helped to make our stay even better. The location is perfect as it is, in my opinion, minutes away from the best part of the island.
I recommend this stay to anyone and would love to make it back someday!
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage while our daughter and her family were in the main house. A few minor repairs would improve staying the cottage — the refrigerator needs a new lightbulb and the door to the back deck leading to the outdoor bath is very hard to latch closed. The location is great, very private but close to beaches, hiking and town.
The area was pretty and bungalow well decorated. Though a rain forest, expected a little better upkeep. Rust on the fridge and mildew on the rubber trim. No light inside. Rusted hot plate. Plenty of cooking equipment but no wrap or foil even after mentioned to owner. Ran out of propane so cold shower on second day. Quickly replaced once notified care taker. This could be a beautiful spot but more attention needs to get paid to the details. A more reflective description would have given us an opportunity to chose a more appropriate setting for our planned vacation. This was our 6th trip to Hawaii, and have rented many VRBO places. This was not a favorite.
We are central to numerous sandy white beaches, some of which offer uncrowded privacy. mOst of which are excellent for snorkeling and surfing and swimming
