4 Days of Fishing

  • 5 of 5

First off our experience with Jeff was first class. We arrived and he met us after a full day of fishing and went over everything and answered all our quesitons about the area and the home. This was a spacious home with a great kitchen and living room, looking out the windows at the water. Beds were comfy and we slept really well. At night we had an awesome view of the lights around the up river Nuclear power plant. There are 3 on the river, caught fish at the middle one. We had 4 guys and 2 boats. Had alot of fun with the stripe up at the dam in the afternoons. Could not find any Smallmouth, but did manage to catch some largemouth and spots. The house is out away from everything and its really peaceful grilling out and having conversation at night. You fish, you need to go to Soddy Custom Tackle shop and while that way Wimpys Restaurant. Old McDonalds farm is on the right going there. Fishing was a little slow, and water was on its way down to winter pool. We ate lunch one day mid river at a great restaurant on the water, Aris' Harbor Light.right down river on the right from the Nuclear plant. Town is close to get supplies, food and gas and upper damn is 2 miles from the Rental. We will be back for sure.

Excellent Family Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

This was an excellent home to share a family vacation. It has everything you need and the rooms are spacious. The house is in a great location with easy access to the local area. There's a nice swimming beach about 10 minutes away at Watts Bar recreation area. Great view of Watts Bar from the large porch. The fishing from the bank was excellent, catfish, brim, stripers. We didn't think about bring a lantern with us so a light by the water would have made night fishing easier. We had a great time, thanks Jeff.

Loved it!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this clean and cozy home with beautiful view of water right from the living room. Property has a private feel to it. Very relaxing. Not the greatest swimming access but if you are looking for a great fishing spot or just a quiet getaway I'd highly recommend checking it out!! Very affordable too.

Top of the line!

  • 5 of 5

My Brother-In-Law and I took his twin boys to Lake Chickamauga for a week of fishing the last week of May. It was our first trip to Lake Chickamauga so we were not only excited because of the large bass that it holds, but also a little nervous because we weren't familiar with the area nor did we know about the area of the Lake we were staying, in relation to other parts of the lake that were suppose to be popular.

When we first arrived at Jeff's property, the pictures we saw didn't do it justice. Even though the pictures on the website looked very neat, it was much more than that. It was like staying in your own little paradise. The private drive led you to your own secluded lake front property. The place was immaculate inside and out. We have taken many fishing trips before and have been used to kind of "roughing" it, as far as accommodations go, because we fish all morning till dark and just come in to eat and sleep then head out again, but while staying at Jeff's property, we really looked forward to coming in and relaxing. Everything from the furniture, to the wireless internet, large flat screen television, bathroom towels, utensils, all were furnished. You wouldn't need to bring a thing except for your clothes and food. I really enjoyed sitting on the back porch at night, while drinking a cup of coffee and looking at the Lake.

As far as the fishing went, there was a boat ramp in several different directions only a couple miles away. The first couple days, we put our boats in at the ramp and drove our trucks and trailers back to the property, then parked our boats at night at the dock in the properties back yard. The next morning we just had to walk through the yard to get to the boats which made it very nice. On the third day we decided to drive to one of the popular boat docks that we had heard about and fish that end of the Lake. It took us about 45 minutes to get to Dayton and after a long unsuccessful morning of fishing, we loaded up and went right back to the property and fished that part of the Lake were we were catching fish. We determined that where we were staying was the best part of the Lake to fish, and even caught a 4lb'er! As I understand it, Winter and Fall are the best months to bass fish Chickamauga, so we will definitely be back this Fall and will be staying at the same place. We couldn't ask for anything better! The day we were leaving, Jeff come by to say hello, and what a top of the line guy! Thanks Jeff
