Luxury Gulf Front Condo - 7th Floor 2 Bedroom 2 Bath

This 2 bedroom, 7th floor unit features sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico from an oversized balcony and almost every room in this condo.

You can even see the Gulf of Mexico from the Kitchen. Two sets of sliding glass doors allow access to the Gulf front balcony.

Our home was extensively remodeled and redecorated over the 2013/2014 Winter. The Kitchen and both bathrooms were gutted, all new furniture was purchased for the Bedrooms and Living Room.

The Living Room features a huge sectional sofa with chaise lounge (queen size sleeper sofa) and sea grass area rug. Other additions include: new cocktail table, end tables, entertainment console with a 55' LED TV, WiFi BluRay Player and surround sound stereo. The adjoining Dining Area features a palm tree chandelier and new table that seats six.

The BRAND NEW Kitchen (remodeled 2014) opens to the Living Room and Dining Area. The Kitchen was completely gutted and rebuilt in the off season - new Kraft Made Cabinets, granite counters, Samsung stainless steel appliances, marble and glass back splash and LED under cabinet lighting. All new small appliances. Everything you could need to prepare a meal is in the kitchen - bar ware, professional style knives, silverware, dishes, cook ware and bake ware make this a kitchen you'll feel right at home in.

The Gulf Front Master Suite features all new furniture, mattresses and linens. A gorgeous mahogany king-size bed, long dresser with a 42' LED TV and WiFi BluRay player and an ihome radio on the night stand. The adjoining Master Bath was completely gutted - new Kraft Made vanity with granite counters, wall sconces embedded into the counter to ceiling mirror. In the adjoining bathroom - a new toilet and large walk in shower with bench and frameless shower enclosure.

An adjoining Gulf Front balcony with breath taking sunrise views, is accessible from the Master Suite.

The spacious Guest Suite was also redecorated with all new furniture - twin beds with new mattresses, linens and blankets. A long dresser with 40' Samsung LED TV, WiFi BlueRay Player and iHome radio on the nightstand. Plantation shutters, a walk-in closet and remodeled adjoining bath with new Kraft Made Vanity, granite counters and new toilet complete the suite.

The spacious gulf front balcony features custom designed wicker table and chairs with cushions, a perfect place to enjoy a sunrise breakfast or cocktails after a long day on the beach.

The local attractions are ever changing and our home is located very close to many of them. Our 800 ft private beach is at the top of that list! But if you must leave the beach, the silver sands factory stores is directly across the street featuring over 100 top designer store outlets and several restaurants. And for a coffee drinker, there is a Starbucks in walking distance! Several golf courses are also near by including a par 3 course and putt putt. Big kahuna's water park is a just short drive west. Grande Destin has just opened with upscale shops, new Carmike cinema (w dining) and restaurants just to the east. Destin commons, an outdoor mall, is just two miles to the west. Many additional activities are available in the area: fishing (beach, pier and deep), wild life viewing, horse back ridding, golf, tennis and much more.

The seventh floor view, gulf breezes and the sounds of the ocean are unforgettable from this luxury condo. Just a few steps away, walk out on to one of the whitest beaches and into the emerald green waters of the gulf, where once again, readers of southern living magazine have confirmed Destin, Florida as one of their favorite southern destinations and family getaways. In the 2013 reader's choice awards, Destin was voted the #1 best beach destination, the #3 best family destination and the #9 best southern city. This is the 14th year in a row that Destin has received the top beach destination spot and has been in the top five for best family vacation destinations.

What makes this condo unique

Mainsail Resort is a 15 acre property located DIRECTLY on the Gulf of MEXICO - there are no roads to cross. Additionally our beach is a PRIVATE beach - there is no public access and the neighborhoods around us are also gated with no public access.

This results in a beach that is rarely crowded.

The property was beautifully decorated and clean.

The only issue was we tried to wash some towels and the washer and dryer were extremely loud. That was our only complaint. The property was great and right on the beach. We would definitely book through the McCarthy's again! Thank you for your beautiful condo!

Nice Unit

Condo was nicely decorated. However, it could have been a bit cleaner. Items noted were: toenails on the balcony, mildew on ceiling in master bathroom, sand in master bathroom shower, hair in guest tub and sink, very dusty ceiling in kitchen above air vent, and air system smelled musty when running. The washer made a terrible noise when running and, had we had our grandchildren with us, it would have been impossible for them to nap/sleep due to the loud noise. We could not hear each other talk and had to leave the unit while running the washer. It could use some maintenance it seems. The unit is located right at the elevator and the noise from the elevator was annoying at times.

The linens were nice and clean. Master bed comfy. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, cookware, and dishes. Some of the cookware was dirty, I assume, from previous guests. The left side of the toaster did not function. There was no storage space for groceries and we had to set everything out on the counters. The electronic equipment was a nice addition, however, it seemed there were too many remotes for us older folks.

We were a little disappointed with the size of the unit and it was a bit smaller than pictures appeared. The master bedroom was spacious but the master bathroom shower and living room was a bit smaller than pictured. The "oversized balcony" was not exactly "oversized". It would be difficult to fit four folks comfortably on the balcony -- we felt a bit cramped with the two of us. Sliding doors were hard to open/close.

From the pictures, we thought the unit was ocean front, however, it was on the side of the building with a gulf view, which was beautiful by the way. The balcony overlooks the houses next door so your view is mainly of those houses/guests and the noise level from some of the houses was pretty loud.

Overall the condo was nice and we enjoyed our stay but I'm not sure we would rent this unit in the future.

Owner's Response: Kim, We are sorry you experienced a few issues with our home during your recent vacation. I wish that you had called us at the contact number provided when these issues were discovered. We could have quickly resolved them for you. I spoke with my cleaning crew about your concerns with their cleaning of the condo. She assured me they will all be addressed on their next cleaning this week. The Gulf front balcony has a dining table and 4 chairs – it should have been set up for you to comfortably enjoy the balcony and view of the gulf. The cleaning crew has been instructed to move the furniture back to its proper location. To address some of the maintenance items: 1. We purchased a new washer and dryer last year – a new high efficiency unit. Unfortunately a part broke in the washer that had to be replaced just before you arrived. This resulted in the washer being very loud when running. GE has replaced the washing machine and the issue is now resolved. 2. The maintenance company has been scheduled to service the sliding glass doors for the 2nd time this year. 3. HVAC – we replaced the entire system in April – everything is brand new. They have been schedule for a fall service and will investigate the musty smell. 4. The toaster has been replaced. We hope that you will stay with us again on a future vacation to Destin. Robert

The condo was wonderful. The kitchen was a treat. In my past renting

experiences the kitchen is not this nice and well equipped. The place is very well kept and clean. I very much appreciate the little things like extra plugs and Bluetooth clocks. They come in so handy. The owners were quick to respond to the questions I had. This was a great experience.

Always Amazing!

This was our second stay at 373. This condo is perfect for our family of four. It's been updated and is furnished with everything you will need. Great beach access, and the folks in charge of the umbrellas and chairs were very accommodating to us. Loved our time in 373!

Great place!!

This condo is as good as advertised.We were a little worried about the view, but it turned out to be great! Everything is very clean and it was stocked about as good as you can be. We would stay there again and recommend this place to everyone!
