Why Pauline chose Woodchurch

The Cottage is picture postcard beautiful our children used to refer to it as the three bears Cottage when we first viewed the Cottage we open the gate and just gasped at how enchanting it was and being surrounded by stunning views.

What makes this cottage unique

Brittons hill Cottage was first built in the 15th century and the original lounge with its traditional beams and the romantic bedroom are both original we have added on to the Cottage to make it even more luxurious

The views from the bedrooms and the garden are glorious and we are near to beautiful villages, castles gardens, zoos, and the designer outlet village.

We stayed at this beautiful cottage

At Christmas time and it was just wonderful like a picture on a postcard with

Beautiful furnishings and also very very comfortable beds

The kitchen was a delight to use and we were lucky enough to have some bright sunny days to enjoy the lovely views, the cottage was lovely and warm and with every Home comfort we will booking again for the spring

This home is a absolute Gem.

Perfect Cottage perfect holiday

  • 5 of 5

This Cottage is Just Perfect more than beautiful what a surprise we had when we walked in through the gate my little girl was so excited she was convinced that fairy’s must live in the garden the cottage was every bit as special inside as outside we took our dog with us and there are woods to explore just opposite the cottage which we all enjoyed we were lucky with the weather and could eat our breakfast in the lovely garden looking at the amazing views and the pheasants and bunny rabbits in the fields, we all loved the hot tub which made our stay even more special we had lovely days out there is such a lot to see and do all within short drives from the cottage but we were always glad to go back to the cottage it really is a super place for a holiday you feel totally removed from the hustle of the real world and a big thank you to the owners who were very good to deal with and most helpful if you are looking for something special you really should visit

Brittons Hill Cottage you will not be disappointed.

Lovely break

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much in the cottage which has bucketloads of character and was very spacious and comfortable for my elderly Mum and me, plus my border collie. We did have one or two issues with the dishwasher and the shower which both need fixing, but we managed fine and enjoyed our stay very much. Kent is beautiful and the cottage is well positioned for visiting the many National Trust properties in the area, plus the lovely town of Tenterdon which is very nearby. Rye and the coast are also only about 20 mins away.

All in all, I would recommend the cottage as a very relaxing and pleasant place to be.

Owner's Response: Dear Laura I am so glad you and your mother enjoyed your stay at the cottage we love the county of Kent as you say there is so many great places to visit I'm sorry you had a issue with the dishwasher but i can assure you it is in perfect working order I'm sorry you found it a little tricky to operate we discovered there was a issue with the temperature of the shower and we have now installed a new shower. Like yourself we also find the position of the cottage for visits to National Trust Gardens or the coast Extremely handy. We hope you can visit again sometime.

a truly lovely cottage :)

  • 5 of 5

Pauline & Chris had provided everything we needed for our stay at the cottage (iron, hairdryers, towels, hoover etc..) the cottage was absolutely lovely and the garden was very well maintained. Our children enjoyed playing outside in the garden which was very private.

The cottage itself was very pretty. It was very clean and tidy ) we met the cleaner leaving just as we arrived. The beds were all made up for us - and very comfortable as we found out. The cottage was immaculate and I truly couldnt fault the cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen etc.

The information provided by pauline regarding places to visit/eat was very useful! We had a takeaway from ' The Old School house' indian restaurant one evening and visited 'Miss Mollets high class tea room'( in Appledore village)for lunch one day.

Pauline was so helpful answering a couple of little queries that arose during our stay.

The weather was awful one day of our stay (it rained all day!) But we didnt mind too much as the cottage is such a lovely , relaxing place to stay. When the weather improved it was lovely to wake up to the views across the sunny fields as I made breakfast in the kitchen :) there are some lovely places to visit such as old family favourites like Dymchurch and St Mary's Bay beaches. We also visited Rye, Camber Sands and went swimming at Tenterden leisure centre which had inflatables for the kids to use :)

We also visited the designer outlet shopping centre in Ashford -so the cottage is ideally situated to visit all these places...

Wherever we visited during the day, it was always a pleasure to return back to the cottage and just spend a relaxing evening. It really is a wonderful place and you feel 'at home' with the welcoming feel that you get when you first enter :)

We had a lovely holiday staying at the cottage and really enjoyed our time there as a family. We would recommend it to family and friends and hope to return again ourselves in the future :) it is a lovely place to stay, and we came away with happy memories....

Cosy in Kent

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely little cottage, centrally located in easy driving distance to many South Eastern attractions. We spent a week here at the beginning of October this year (2012). The cottage is well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The place was clean and cosy. Pauline and Chris took very good care of us. We had a problem with the internet connection while we were there and Chris responded quickly and got us back in business!
