About Lisa or Hans
Patricia McArdle Cooper is a native West Virginian who married, moved to south Florida after college (West Virginia Institute of Technology), raised a family, and had two full careers as an educator in Palm Beach County Schools. She longed to rediscover WV and her Irish roots, and after retiring in 2012 from her second career, her dream came true. She found Pipestem Place, named it Anam Cara Way (Gaelic for “soul friend”), and thus began her third career of fun in “cabin-care” and reconnecting with family and friends in “wild, wonderful” West Virginia.

Why Lisa or Hans chose Lerona
In a lovely, secluded country setting, two enchanting little log cabins nestle among oaks and maples in a meadow abundant with wildlife. The Robin, a two-bedroom/one full bath chalet, has central AC/heat, huge wood-burning fireplace, skylight, two-person indoor Jacuzzi, enclosed lighted back deck. Though designed with couples in mind, it can easily accommodate 4-5 people. This charming, intimate cabin is perfect for your honeymoon, anniversaries, or other special celebrations.

The cabin is wonderful! Felt so comfortable...everything we needed and all that we could have hoped for!
We actually stayed at theWhitetail which was on the same path. It was so beautiful!
The quiet little cabin gave such a warm and comfortable feeling! It was a great place for a quick weekend getaway with my Fiancé! I hope to travel back again soon!
Awesome weekend getaway
This cabin was very comfortable and charming inside. We were there as a family of five with two older kids and a baby in a portable crib. The house is well-appointed with nice kitchen supplies, plenty of towels and blankets, and everything else we needed. The kids loved the loft and the spiral stairs up to it. It would not have been a safe place with a toddler, however.
We were there mainly with the intention of skiing at Winterplace and found the drive there to be a little too far, especially after a long day on the slopes. Our day hiking at Pipestem was really good and we also took another day trip to the Lost World Cavern, which was great. The closest thing to a nearby grocery was the Dollar General so we were glad to have brought a lot of our own food.
Beautiful Cabin and location
