This is an old, Spanish-style house with a large, comfortable, living room in a very quiet location that is a short block and a half to the beach and Bike Trail. It's close to numerous tourist destinations with lots of parking available.

Everything is so close, you'll find you can take a vacation from driving, too. The house is just a short walk to Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, supermarket, outlet stores, downtown Pacific Grove, restaurants, movie theater, the natural history museum, gift shops, coffee shops, etc. The two free aquarium passes included with the rental make this home a true bargain.

The house has a bay view, private, outdoor garden/patio area with BBQ, high-speed WiFi, satellite TV including movie channels, 2 big screen (50') TVs, spacious living room, laundry room and is located on a very quiet street and has off street parking (there's lots of on-street parking as well).

The huge living room with it's high ceilings is the best feature of the house. It's spacious and comfortable with high quality leather furniture. You couldn't ask for a better living room for family gatherings.

The house has three bedrooms: King bed, Queen bed, and the third bedroom has a trundle bed that can pull out into two twin beds. The bedrooms are small, but the beds and linens are exceptional quality and very comfortable.

The laundry room has a front loading washer and dryer. The bathroom has a large tub and overhead shower.

This house is comfortable and quiet - perfect for a family vacation where you have lots of activities within easy walking distance, but can come back home and relax in a peaceful setting, where you can recharge and unwind.

David grew up in Venice, CA, Rebecca in Spokane, WA. We both fell in love with Pacific Grove in the 1970s. We love that it hasn't lost it's historical charm, has a vibrant, local community and has retained it's small town feel. This isn't just a rental property - this is our home.

What makes this house unique

We love the old, historic homes along the ocean in Pacific Grove. Most are very small. The spacious 500 sq.ft. living room with high ceilings and giant windows, and the private, outdoor garden/patio made this house special. The close proximity to the ocean and tourist attractions made it perfect for a vacation rental, yet the quiet neighborhood lets us feel removed from the 'tourist scene'.

Very nice family home.

This was our third stay at this home and it was lovely as always. Location is great, a short walk along the bay to both lover's point and the aquarium(2 guest passes included in rental). My son learned to ride a peddle bike on the bike path, he received lots of encouragement from all the friendly bystanders. The home is very clean and welcoming. Rebecca has been a gracious host. We appreciate that there is very little childproofing needed as it isn't overly decorated with breakables. The best part of the home is the living room which is roomy and bright. The kitchen has everything that you might need to cook a few meals, even spices and lemons in a bowl from the tree in the yard. During our Summer stay we used the BBQ and dined al fresco. I would recommend this home to a friend.

Great location, excellent accommodation!

This rental is a great way to experience Monterey close up. Right near the water, Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, we all loved being able to walk to these Monterey attractions. Rebecca was more than helpful in the lead-up to our arrival and her attention to detail around the house was a bonus we really enjoyed. With Halloween approaching, there were Halloween themed decorations inside and outside the house. My daughter loved it! There were comfy beds, a huge living room, a well equiped kitchen (condiments and various other food items were handy), a great laundry and a gorgeous garden courtyard. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer. Thanks Rebecca!

Great location and well maintained!

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The place was clean and well maintained. It is located only a block and half from the ocean and about a 10 minute walk to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. We would definitely stay here again.

Short walk to all attractions: Ocean/bike/walking trail, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Historic downtown, Monarch Sanctuary, Natural History Museum, Fisherman's Wharf. Numerous gulf courses, including America's #1 Public Golf Course, Pebble Beach. 17 mile drive. Historic walking tours. Lots to discover for Steinbeck affectionados (recommend a drive to Salinas for production of The Grapes of Wrath).

We can't rave enough about the Monterey Bay Aquarium - a must see, and it's a short walk from our house. Leave the car behind, head to the beach and walk North. You'll see the sea lions basking on the beach along the way. If you haven't been to Big Sur, plan a day trip, and take the 17 mile drive along the way. There's SO much to do, SO much to see, you could stay a month and not see everything. The tourist information center is just a few blocks away. Whale watching is year around, the Monarch sanctuary is a winter visit. One of the best features of our home is it's location. You can take a vacation from your car, too. Park and walk. It's all close by.
