This 19th century stone house of about 150 sq. meters was built for the village priests. It has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs are a large living room with a separate kitchen and dining area, which open onto a huge terrace, plus a WC. The terrace has its own dining table and chairs, plus a BBQ. The house has all the usual appliances: wifi, 2 TVs, DVD player with an assortment of DVDs, dishwasher, microwave and regular oven, cooktop, combo washer/dryer, tea kettle, coffee maker, toaster.... Linens are provided: sheets, bath towels — not beach towels — dish towels and aprons. High chair and baby cot on request. There is offstreet parking for up to three cars. I have a Brittany Ferries membership and will happily allow you to use it, should you be taking a ferry.
The house is within easy walking distance of two restaurants and a bakery. There is a municipal tennis court down the street. A supermarket, more restaurants, etc., can be found in Luçon, some 10 km away. It is about 20 minutes to the beach and a little farther to Puy du Fou. Also nearby are a water park and adventure parks. It is at the start of several marked hiking and biking trails. The neighborhood is quiet and there is no neighbor across the street. The huge landscaped garden is fully enclosed and features a pond and a boules court. In short, it is a peaceful, private base for your Vendee vacation.
