committed professional New England couple that can't use their home due to work - interested in offering their home to others that might enjoy what we enjoy most about this region of New Hampshire. Winter sports - skiing and Mt. Sunapee - brought us to the region - year round activities and wonderful summers keep us here!
Jeff Nechanicky purchased this house in 2007
The view out the back of the house of Mt. Sunapee's backside and Bear Hill are amazing when the sunsets over the mountain! Watching the snowstorms come in in the winter and the rain in the summer are truly unique and took sold us on the location immediately!
10 minutes to Mt. Sunapee for winter skiing and snowboarding, summer events and the new zip line adventure park are obvious. Not so obvious are the multiple lakes and stream within 5 to 30 minutes for all sorts of summer water sports activities make this a unique kick off site for all the region has to offer.
Jeff and Family,
My family and I would like to extend wishes to you and yours for a very Happy and joyous Easter Day. Easter spells out beauty. The rare beauty of new life. I wanted to thank you for allowing us to share your home in the hopes of having a relaxing and comfortable week.
Your home & all of its amenities have exceeded all expectations. Thank you very much. I look forward to renting again next year. The dog should have a blast as well. He is loving all of this fresh country air.
The girls and I met your neighbors down the road.. Joan and family. They have the sheep and sell eggs and maple syrup etc. at the farm stand. Good people. They invited the girls to come & visit the farm animals. The area is lovely and the home is warm, and inviting. We need and want for nothing.
We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
Our family was looking for a place where we could all conveniently get together for the holidays. A place where those who are skiers and snowboarders could enjoy a day at the mountain without having to drive far. This place provided that as well as a nice home where our family felt comfortable.
A terrific venue for the weekend. We pretty much just hung out in the living room and talked for hours as we threw logs into the wood stove. Couldn't be better. And even though there isn't a picture of it, there is a nice long dining room table where everyone can sit and eat together.
This is a beautiful home. Booked thru home away for 1 st time and it won't be my last. Homeowner has done a marvelous job with upkeep and decour. Everything was very clean!! Fresh towels and linens. We were 11 and all slept comfortably. Was here for family wedding in Bradford. Only 17 minutes away, so convenient. Wish we could have spent more time in the home and nearby. Nice view from deck with little stream in the back. Very grateful for Jeff sharing his home for our weekend getaway. Definitely will come back and recommend to. Any family.
My husband and I had a lovely long weekend at the house. Million dollar view from the oversized porch and backyard! Even better than the photos. Nicely furnished 2-story house with lots of privacy and lots of room. The large 4-season addition was a nice bonus, creating even more space and bringing in lots of light. The master bedroom had a comfortable queen size bed and there is a sliding door right onto the gorgeous porch. We used the air condition in the bedroom 1 evening since it was a bit warm. The kitchen had everything, however we didn’t use much. We went out to dinner both nights at restaurants 10 minutes away. Nice having a Keurig coffee maker in addition to a regular one. Cable and internet worked fine. The house is close to lots of lakes and parks, so there’s a lot to do. Our favorites were Kezar Lake and Pillsbury Park (very remote feeling). You also have Lake Sunapee, Lake Sunapee Park, and Rollins State Park which has a road going almost all the way up to Mt. Kearsarge. The owner, Jeff, was very nice and very easy to work with. We hope to be back and would recommend the house to anyone.
rates for pets (dogs) are negotiable based upon size and age of the pet. This is a no smoking house.
