Welcome to what will become your new favorite base camp in the Smoky Mountains. Named Cedar Shores due to its cedar trees and being on the shores of beautiful Douglas Lake. It is conveniently located just 20 - 25 miles from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountains National Park, and yet it's location on a peninsula not only provide great lake views from most every room, but also a quiet place to return to at the end of your day.
Have a boat? Bring it and put it in just across the road, tie it up at the private dock onsite. You can swim off the dock or across the road at the walk in cove. Douglas Lake has 44 square miles of open water great for skiing, tubing, cruising or world class fishing. There is also great fishing right off the dock.
A large deck equipped with table and chairs overlooks the lake and is partially covered for when you want a little shade or if it's raining. There is a gas grill for your use. The kitchen has dishes, tableware, pots and pans and a coffee maker. There is also a dishwasher. The house is professional cleaned after every stay and all linens are replaced with fresh ones provided by a commercial linen rental company. For your convenience, we leave a starter packet which includes a packet of coffee, dish washing detergent, paper towels, 1 roll of toliet paper per bath, organic body soap and trash bags.
At the end of the day, quality queen beds await in the 2 bedrooms with an additional queen cabinet bed to sleep 6.
