This cute apartment is located on Via Toscanella, in the heart of oltrarno zone, close to the famous Palazzo Pitti and the street of the antique stores, Via Maggio. From there you will be able to reach all the artistic
attraction by foot, such as Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi.
Palazzo Pitti is a vast mainly Renaissance palace in Florence.
It was originally the town residence of Luca Pitti , an ambition Florentine banker. The apartment is not to far from bus stops and the central railway station Santa Maria Novella.
The building that house in the apartment is 15th century building completely restored.
The apartment is located at the third floor with the lift and it has been completely renovated.
It is composed by a living room with TV, a large sitting area, three double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.
This was my 1st time booking thru VRBO...after looking at different sites, I decided on one that fit our needs and the location we wanted.
My son was studying abroad and the apartment was near him.
What we found when we arrived was amazing. The apartment was just as described....very large, updated well maintained apartment
It was fantastic and the location WAS exactly what we wanted.........I have told everyone how great it was.
Elly was fantastic and met us at the apartment...explained everything, showed us some local hot spots and she was on her way.
I hope to go back and I WILL contact Elly for another rental
This apartment was wonderfully located. The layout was fine and the property was clean and well maintained. It was easy setting up a meeting time, and we were met cordially and provided with much good information about the apartment and the neighborhood. There are many lovely restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. The Ponte Vecchio and the Pitti Palace are very close by.
The appointments of the apartment do need some upgrading. While all the bedding was comfortable, the couches were old, saggy and not at all comfortable, and the armoire in the en suite bedroom was not functional. Additional lighting would be welcome. Having said this, I would stay here again and recommend it because of the location and the overall value.
We stayed in this apartment with two other couples celebrating 25th wedding anniversaries The three lovely bedrooms in this apartment all had great rooftop views of Florence – plus a very functional living room and kitchen. The lift to the top floor was great. The location is really a key part of this rental. On this side of the Arno, the crowds drop down significantly, but the neighborhood is very nice and offers up some great restaurants and sights to see. You will literally by a one minute walk from the Pitti Palace, and three minutes from the Santo Spirito church - a great plaza. If you want to walk to the Doumo, it will take only a fewminutes. The owner and manager are very accommodating and place is cool, clean, and safe. Book it and relax!
The Oltrarno area is just a great place to be, and this apartment is just perfect for those who wish to be near some of the major sites to see in Florence and have a larger group of friends along.
Grocery shopping is near, and several fabulous places to eat.
Wouldn't recommend renting a car and staying here, traffic is ridiculous. We didn't, and just used taxi and car services for out of town jaunts.
Elly, our orientation host, was fantastic. She answered all our questions and referred us to the great map of places to go and to eat that didn't disappoint.
If you have a large group, don't bother with the hotels, get an apartment like this one and enjoy the roominess and fun of having your own location.
We really enjoyed this beautiful apartment, it was perfect for our stay in Firenze and had a lovely view. It was right above a restaurant that I also highly recommend. The location was perfect and convenient, and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only snag was we had a bit of a misunderstanding about our arrival time because of a language barrier with our emails, but they quickly resolved this for us and we were only waiting for about 30 minutes before our host arrived. But it all worked out fine in the end and the apartment made for a magical stay in Firenze.
We are 6 adults and stayed here for two nights. It was a great space, but best of all was the extra care taken to help explain the city to us and provide recommended things to do. It is located near several great restaurants (one of our best lunches in Italy was located just down the road from the apartment at 4 Leoni). Although the apartment is on the other side of the river, it is still close to everything. We walked everywhere in the city. Thanks for a great stay in Florence! I would stay here again if I ever have the chance to return to the city.
