Welcome to Schroon Lake Lodge, a 5-bedroom, 3 bath, year round retreat! Located on the former property of the Schroon Lake Camp for Boys, The Lodge is a 2600 sq. ft. home with rustic charm but modern conveniences such as an LG 47” 3D TV, Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, Sonos stereo with outdoor speakers, Blu-ray 3D DVD player, Xbox and central air conditioning. The lodge enjoys just a "smidgen" of a lake view if you turn your head a certain way and the large shared association beach is just steps away, accessed by a secret tunnel that goes under State Route 9, that was originally built for the boys camp.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed and an adjoining bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom also has king sized bed and the third bedroom has a set of twin beds. Those two bedrooms share a hall bath. There is a pull out queen sofa in the living room as well. The downstairs level houses two bedrooms, each with king sized beds, a full bath, a second washer/dryer, and kitchen. Maximum number of people at any time on the property is 12.
The Lodge is perfect for those who opt to rent something with more space and amenities, for less money, and don’t mind walking a few steps to get to the beach. The 1.2 acre lot, large rooms, three season sunroom and expansive decks give everyone enough space to spread out, relax and enjoy.
We think of our guests like family and want them to utilize the home; feel free to watch the DVD's; use the games and borrow the books from the library. There is a Stand Up Paddle board, Kayak and Canoe at the waterfront for your use as well.
There is free wi-fi, a stereo with outdoor speakers, a Blu-ray DVD player with plenty of movies, board games, and a small library for the house, and you are encouraged to use all. In good weather there is also is a gas grill, in addition to an outdoor fire pit.
Included with your rent are all sheets, bedding, hair dryers and bath towels. A starter set of toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and paper towels are supplied however you may need to replenish those items during your stay. (Our guests try and “pay it forward” by leaving items ie. foil/wrap/spices for the next guests.)
We love Schroon Lake and know that you do/will as well. We purchased this home for our future retirement - but while we're working away, we'd love for you and your family to use it. We think of our renters as family and you are welcome to use all the amenties.
Erin Steinbach purchased this house in 2013
We've been managing vacation rental property for the past 25 years and work hard to make your experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible :)
Affordable - we work hard to keep costs down to be able to offer you a comfortable, quality vacation experience without breaking the bank. But we don't skimp on important stuff - like entertainment. We have a Sonos stereo and a 47" LG 3D Television.
I was there for three nights in mid November 2013 ,we were a party of 4 , only good things to say, nice and cosy place ,well located near the Lake and I 87 . Everything was perfect .we are already planning another trip there.
The ,listing was very accurate about layout, amenitites and location. Added plus it was withing walking distance to a nice cozy place Sticks n Stones. Property was very clean and well-maintained. Excellent customer service with all questions we had. Highly recommend this to friends and relatives. Loved all near by - golf course, town, grocery store, lake, Sticks n Stones. Ultimately a really great week. Good Times, Good Friends, Great Memories made.
Had multiple families get together and we all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room. We enjoyed the fire pit (with plenty of wood provided). Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. No complaints. We would stay there again.
We stayed 3 nights in cabin for Adirondack Marathon in September. Location was perfect, only 3 miles to Schroon Lake downtown area.
Many modern conveniences made for a special stay. Kitchen was awesome. Everything was immaculate and comfortable.
Best part was interaction with owner Erin. Erin made sure everything went smoothly from the first correspondence through checkout, even wishing me luck on race day.
We had a family wedding in neighboring Ticonderoga and needed a place for 9 cousins to stay, and Schroon Lake fit the bill perfectly! We cooked breakfast in the brand new kitchen, and used the ample seating to watch one of their DVDs and used the big table to play Cranium and Left-right-center. The big king size beds were needed as we had 3 couples, and one of my cousins is 7'2" and had no troubles. The screened-in porch is awesome, and the deck is large.
I ventured off and found the lake, and I wish we had time to enjoy it. It's a fun little walk which they give you treasure-hunt instructions to find, and it really is a perfect little private sand beach. It reminds me of my childhood when we used to go to Tupper lake; small and wonderfully Adirondacks. I would love to come back and take in everything the house has to offer!
My girlfriends and I have been renting homes for our ladies' weekends for 16 years now, and, without a doubt, this is by far one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in. It was spacious and bright and beautifully furnished and equipped with just about everything you could possibly need. It was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and the linens and towels provided were of good quality, and my interactions with the owners were always super friendly and got quick responses to any questions. Not only would I highly recommend this to friends and family, we are already talking about possibly returning at some point in the future, and a couple of the ladies are considering it for family vacations down the road as well.
We were in search of a place to have a mini family reunion and chose wonderful Schroon Lake Lodge. While my family has spent time in the Adirondacks, this was our first trip to Schroon Lake. Admittedly, we were initially unsure if we would like this area as much as others. Any concerns we had were immediately alleviated. This is a beautiful property with fantastic accommodations. The home is spacious, while still feeling cozy. Since we had young and older children with us, the two separate areas with bedrooms, as well as bathrooms was ideal. We seemed to congregate in the sunroom mostly. It was lovely for our morning coffee and the kids thoroughly enjoyed throwing the magnetic darts. Schroon Lake is beautiful and calm. The tunnel made for a nice, quick walk to the beach several times per day. Our whole family utilized the canoe and paddle board. A special thank you to the owners for the "treasure hunt" to the beach! The fire pit was a nice feature to use in the evenings. Schroon Lake is in a great location, as we were able to drive to Lake George in about a half hour. We also drove to the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, which took about 1.5 hrs in part due to road construction. Still an easy, beautiful drive. If you stay here (and you should), take a walk or drive into the town for ice cream, groceries, a bite to eat, or gifts. Last, but certainly not least, the homeowners are phenomenal! Our only complaint is with ourselves for not renting Schroon Lake Lodge longer. Next time we will!
Perfectly located in a quaint, Adirondack town, yet close to great shopping, the Great Escape, Lake George, Lake Placid, Saratoga Race Track. Something for everyone to do.
Must be 30 years of age or older to rent. Maximum number of people at any time on the property is 12.
