For years I have been travelling for work far and wide our wonderful peninsula, but then I decided to slow down a little with my job to dedicate myself mainly to my family, developing a new business that would let me do so. This is why we (my wife Daniela and I) built up inside our property a new facility composed of apartments of various dimensions.
Marco Zorzetto purchased this chateau / country house in 2000
I had the best moments of my life with my family during our summer holidays, while visiting several European countries and their capitals. We have always preferred staying in holiday homes rather than hotels, because it always gave us more freedom, as well as the chance to immerse ourself in the culture. Most of the times a house surrounded by greenery in the quiet countryside gave us magic and relaxing moments.
Taking all these experiences in consideration, we decided to built up a place where it is possible to find rest after busy days visiting the main wonders of Venice and the surrounding area.
Twenty-five years ago my father and I entered in an old house which he had recently inherited from his grandfather. It was in poor state of disrepair: the floors were stripped, wooden beams in very bad condition supported a precarious ceiling and a multitude of wooden shacks and crumbling metal sheets were all around. I looked out the upstairs window, I saw the field at that time cultivated with corn and I immediately fell in love with the place. I have followed my dream for years and, finally, in 2007, after a considerable building renovation, I moved there with my family. An immense satisfaction!
Marco was an amazing host, I will certainly without a doubt recommend this amazing property to everyone I know. The property is located in a perfect place with access to Venice Island. Transport to and from was excellent. I cant thank the host enough for all his guidance and help throughout my stay. The amenities and facilities available in the property are excellent. I'll definitely be staying again over the summer. Thank you again Marco for making my first visit to Venice and unforgettable one. xxx
The owner was friendly and helpfull, the house was very spacious and there is a very nice terrace to sit outside. Having an Airco was a nice thing to have and the kitchen had enough supplies to be able to cook decently, the only thing that was missing was a dishwasher. The location was very nice and the property was clean and well-maintained. Finally, being able to use the bikes that were there was a plus aswell.
Marco was very welcoming and nice, and lives right on property. The apartment (we rented Chiara) was pretty new and we loved having so much green space. Not only is this a good base for visiting Venice, but you can also play ping pong, ride the bikes and use the kayaks, all included. About a 15 minute drive away is a huge supermarket for all your supplies, if you choose to cook some of your meals. Although the bus stations are not far away, we chose to drive into Venice, which is surprisingly convenient. We also loved the two dogs that live on property, as we definitely missed our own back home. I cannot think of anything that would make for a better stay. Thank you, Marco!
We were 2 couples traveling to Italy and this beautiful apartment was more than what we could've asked for. Nice bedrooms with huge closets, comfortable beds, a big dining room, very clean bathrooms and a well equiped kitchen. The separation door between the two bedrooms keeps things private if you need it. It's only a 15 minutes walk to the bus to Venice and 10 minutes by car to the nearest store or restaurants. Marco was a gracious host who speaks French (nous sommes Québécois). We enjoyed it very much and definitely recommend it. I hope we get a chance to return soon. Mille grazie Marco and Daniella.
This is spacious clean - everything included. We are here in mid winter and its warm, cosy, clean - everything as you would want it.
Easy trip into Venice, great for kids.
The owner has been very helpful land accommodating.
No hesitation in recommending as a great value option for those wanting to stay a little outside Venice and see some of the other things the region has to offer.

This was by far the nicest place we stayed during our trip to Italy. The property is quite large, and all the amenities are new and well taken care of - there's a computer to use (along with wifi in the rooms), ping pong and fooseball tables, washer and dryer, etc.
Marco had a wide assortment of bikes to use, and we loved riding the bikes into town, in true Italian style. Also paddled the kayaks out in the canal just right outside the property. All of this is free to use.
Our five year old son loved it, as did we. Also some nice restaurants right near by, without the crowds of Venice
Rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The ride into Venice was easy by bus - about 15-20 minutes. Marco was a great host with lots of recommendations.
We've done lots of vacation rentals throughout the US and Italy, and this was a five-star experience wrapped up in a very reasonable price.
