Small private elevator building in a great downtown NYC neighborhood. It's next to SOHO, lower east side, east village. It is close to all of the trains. 5 minute walk to Broadway/ Lafayette station (B,D,F,C & E trains). There is a Whole Foods a block away, Dean & Deluca 4 blocks away. It's located right in the middle of some of the best shopping, spa's, restaurants in the city.
It has a common shared roof-deck on the sixth floor. It was beautifully renovated with a famous designer. It is very serene, relaxing and everybody who has stayed here has fallen in love with it. It is on the third floor so you are able to see out into the beautiful trees and scenery. There is a flat screen tv, cross ventilation and a kitchen with marble. The design is simply elegant and tastefully done.
This is an absolutely wonderful apartment. It's elegant and comfortable.
Every detail is well thought out. It's more spacious than the photos
suggest. It's spotlessly clean. The bed, sheets and pillows are super
comfortable. The bathroom is stunning. The shower is high pressure, and the
tub is amazing. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Weekly
housecleaning and laundry is included. The location is unbeatable. There
are tons of hip shops, restaurants and amazing markets at the doorstep. And
fantastic subway access. I can't imagine a lovelier, more perfect retreat
in New York City. And the owner was truly a delight. Very thoughtful and
I highly recommend this apartment. It's really unbeatable.
We stayed as a couple in this apartment for 30 days in the middle of one of the hottest periods in NYC - August 2015.
It was perfect! The apartment is very large for a NYC one bedroom apartment and it is beautifully decorated and high quality furnishings. The air-conditioning was a must during August and it kept the apartment at ideal temperatures even on the hottest days. The living room is spacious and plenty of room for lounging/working/dinner. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and excellent quality appliances and certainly a cut above usual rentals. This is an apartment that is presented at the highest quality and you will be surprised when you arrive as any photos I have seen on sites do not do the apartment the justice it deserves. It has a great music system and the wifi works well. It was the perfect apartment for working/relaxing and a base to explore the city.
Importantly the location can not be beaten! This is in the heart of nolita and an oasis from the bustle of NYC. It is easy to get to most subway locations to move around the city, hire bikes around the corner for exploring the bike paths and close enough to Bowery to hail a cab at anytime. It is surrounded by restaurants to meet everyones taste and plenty of entertainment close. Great coffee shops, library and gyms all within 2-3 blocks.
And don't forget the hidden gem of Elizabeth gardens to relax after your day out and about!
I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for an experience of the "real" NYC and a base to explore all the great aspects of the city.
This beautiful apartment met all the needs of the two of us for a 4 week stay. It’s spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Large living room area and very ample sized bedroom, with a very comfortable queen sized bed. Plenty of storage space in closets and on bedside stands. Large HD TV in bedroom. Coming from drought plagued Southern California, we especially loved the shower - lots of high pressure water with terrific controls. Kitchen is thoroughly equipped if one wishes to cook, and has large refrigerator/freezer. There is even weekly housecleaning provided, including laundry. We also greatly enjoyed the roof garden, where we had a couple of take-out dinners from very nearby Whole Foods Market. The owner was a pleasure to work with and always responsive to our calls or messages. It was a pleasure to come home to this apartment after a full day of sightseeing.
Perhaps most important is the terrific location in a very lively neighborhood full of restaurants, shops, all the needed conveniences such as markets and dry cleaners - at the intersection of the Lower East Side, Chinatown and Little Italy. There are four subway stations with multiple lines within a 5 to 10 minute walk so that you can get just about anywhere in NYC easily, usually via one train. And taxis are easy to flag down 1/2 block away. If you stay here, don’t miss the charming Elizabeth St. Garden just 1/2 block away.
We obviously highly recommend this apartment - it added immeasurably to our wonderful stay in NYC.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this wonderful apartment and its spectacular location. I'm not exactly sure what you'd call the area, but it's just steps away from Soho and Little Italy. Great restaurants and little boutiques were everywhere and only a short 5-7 minute walk to some of the more notable shopping.
The apartment is a lot larger than it feels in the photos. I didn't take any measurements, but it feels like 700-800sf and very spacious for two people. The place was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The owner was a joy to work with from beginning to end.
This place has everything you'll need and more. The owner was very thoughtful in terms of making sure their guests were comfortable. One example of this was the "sound machine" next to the bed which really helped in lieu of my bedside fan.
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you'd need to prepare all your meals, from dishes (even some more formal dishes), to quality pots and pans and pretty much any spice you could ever want -- including four or five different types of salt! There's a subzero fridge, gas range and marble counter tops.
The elegant European-style washroom shares the same fine marble as the kitchen. I was particularly impressed with the water pressure, which really made taking a shower a joy.
What I really enjoyed about this apartment is that I really felt at home. The books, music and tasteful artwork helped to make the experience very comfortable. Most of the VRBO's I've stayed in used fairly cheap furniture, appliances and kitchen utensils, but that's not the case here.
My wife and I will surely try to stay here the next time we come to NYC.
