About the property

Nice beautiful private unit overlooking Juneau and the Cruise Ships

This comfortable, quiet, unit looks out over downtown Juneau, the harbor, Mount Roberts Tram, the summer cruise ships and the majestic Mount Juneau. Eagles fly and rest next to the unit.

Unit now comes with passes to the local gym (within half mile of the unit).

In-house massages are available by appointment.

Your unit is fully private and is down a short, covered, lighted set of 14 stairs. The unit is next to the woods so not only does it have spectacular views of Juneau, the mountains and the water, but also has the feel of being tucked into the woods. It has two bedrooms, great room with dining area and table and chairs, full kitchen with island stool seating, full bathroom, pantry, a back family room with more coaches, and a private deck with tables, chairs, and propane BBQ.

Directly to the right of the unit is a forest wilderness’ area that includes a nature path leaving from the unit.

The home is at the end of a very nice street with lighting and sidewalks.

A short wilderness trail begins at the unit and a five minute walk up the street takes you to the trailhead of one of the best trails in Juneau - the Dan Moller trail. This three-mile trail ends at the Dan Moller Cabin, a Forest Service public day use cabin that includes a heater. Nice place to dry out and have lunch. You can rent the cabin for the night from the Forest Service for a small fee.

Your private deck is partially covered and includes deck chairs, table and a propane bbq. Inside the sliding glass doors is a great room with a 42” flat screen with DVD, dining room with table and four chairs, a large comfortable couch a modern chair recliner – great for reading, aka napping.

Three stools surround the stove\cooking\kitchen island area. The kitchen is nicely equipped with full oven, range, dish washer and double wide fridge with ice and filtered water and many small appliances.

In the unit are plenty of the cooking basics including blender, mixing bowls, plates, cups and glasses, cooking oil, butter, glasses, cooking pans, flour, muffin mix, spices, butter, coffee maker and coffee :)

A full washer and dryer are also private for you along with a sitting and family room in the back with an office area, a pull-out bed. This family room is a great place for the kids to spread-out or a quiet place to work.

There is a laptop for your use in the unit.

The bathroom has a tiled, heated floor with full tub\shower. Bathroom is pass-through so you can get to it directly from the main bedroom or the hallway.

Both bedrooms have comfortable queen beds, night stands, closet, clocks, IPhone players, and other amenities. Bedroom one also has its own flat screen with full cable with HBO and DVD.

The dining area has a table with four chairs and there is an additional full-sized table on the deck with four chairs and two extra around the corner.

There is a road bike and a mountain bike for your use parked at your unit – including helmets.

The unit is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the local Foodland IGA grocery store, restaurants and bars. An additional 5 to 10 minute walk takes you to the heart of downtown Juneau. It is 12 minute drive to Costco or Fred Meyers.

High-speed wireless Internet is included with your stay.

We want to make this your relaxing vacation get away. We’re there if you need anything, but if you like your privacy, then our paths will not likely pass unless you need something.

If you don’t have a car, taxi fare from the airport generally runs $23.00. There is parking for your car next to the unit. It’s only a three minute walk from the unit to the city bus system. The City bus system will take you anywhere in Juneau including within a half mile of the glacier visitor center.

We’re confident that you’ll love the place and the location. Enjoy!

Our family had a wonderful time here.

  • 5 of 5

The house is so cozy, we immediately felt settled in and comfortable. The house is well-appointed with lots of little things that made it easy to relax and enjoy our time in Juneau. Anne-Marie and Steve were very friendly and helpful with local information. The kids were especially thrilled to see all the board games there for family game nights. We were happy to head home here after long days of hiking. Thanks so much!

Blueberry Hill is one of the finest VRBO rentals we have ever encountered.

  • 5 of 5

The view is outstanding, and there is a convenient deck and table from which to view it. We (two adult couples) loved the spacious and well laid out arrangement. All four of of us take active roles in food preparation and we enjoyed working together in the compact, but fully equipped kitchen. Steve and Anne-Marie have given great thought to the needs of their guests and have created an ideal, comfortable rental experience. Anne-Marie came down a day into our stay and left us the best strawberry-rhubarb pie we have ever had.

We loved our stay on Blueberry Hill. Great place. A lot of heart and attention has gone into caring for this place. Great little deck with a view of Juneau and the mountains to eat outside. Cozy & very quiet. Loved it. Thank you.

Simply Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

A little piece of heaven!! We would absolutely stay here again!! The property is just wonderful! Full of thoughtful touches, from bug spray to a fresh bag of coffee ready to go! Comfortable beds and a beautiful view!! We started and ended almost every day on the deck over looking downtown Juneau, Mt Juneau, and Mt Roberts! We observed mountain goats on Mt Juneau. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships and lots of birds. We watched an eagle enjoy his salmon breakfast just a few yards away. A Stellers Jay came and perched on the rail while we were enjoying our coffee feet away! The location is perfect! You're minutes away from Sandy beach and Treadwell or down town Juneau! And just a quick trip to the Mendenhall glacier! Although there are two tv's we never turned on either!! Wi-Fi is available and worked effortlessly. There were four adults in our party and there was plenty of room for us all and room for the couples to be together or seperate. The only thing I could say might be a down side for some is there is a flight of stairs when you enter and exit the property. However, My husband was only a few months post op after 1st knee replacement and he made out just fine!! We loved staying here and hope to return again in the future!! If you're planning a trip to Juneau...Relax on Blueberry Hill!!!

Great Place to stay.

  • 4 of 5

Great place to stay. Close to everything and an awesome view! We had an eagle visit At least twice while we were there. It would have been a 5 but the kitchen is a wee bit small but other than that we loved this home and were very pleased.

Best experience I've had on VRBO

  • 5 of 5

I've rented many vacation homes on VRBO, HomeAway, Air BnB for all sorts of occassions, family trips, guys weekends, cabins on lakes, apartments in different cities. This was one of the best experiences we have had. Steve and Annie have an amazing home and they provide you with everything you could possibly need to come to Juneau, relax, and take in all of the beauty it has to offer. The highlight of place is the balcony and picture window in the living room with the views of downtown Juneau and Mt. Roberts and Mt. Juneau in the background. We could have just stayed in and took in the views the whole week. Steve and Annie do an amazing job providing everything you need to relax once you arrive. They knew we were traveling with our little one so they set out a high-chair and pack and play for us to use. Much appreciated! Once you do decide to venture out and explore downtown Juneau, there is plenty to do. The town is busy with all of the cruise lines, 3-6 ships each day we were there. And they offer plenty of excursions. Mendenhall Glacier, whale watching, and the Mt. Roberts Tram were all great and worth your time and can be booked right downtown. We walked to town once and it takes about 20 minutes to cross the Douglas bridge and get downtown or you can drive/call a taxi. Uber just came to the area so that is also available. I'd highly recommend booking this property to anyone who is planning a trip and staying in Juneau.

Wonderful quiet neighborhood with great views, side walks, and lighting, and lots of hiking trails. One trail leaves from the house. And best of all...only the majestic mountains get in the way of your views.
