This comfortable, quiet, unit looks out over downtown Juneau, the harbor, Mount Roberts Tram, the summer cruise ships and the majestic Mount Juneau. Eagles fly and rest next to the unit.
Your unit is fully private and is down a short, covered, lighted set of 14 stairs. The unit is next to the woods so not only does it have spectacular views of Juneau, the mountains and the water, but also has the feel of being tucked into the woods. It has two bedrooms, great room with dining area and table and chairs, full kitchen with island stool seating, full bathroom, pantry, a back family room with more coaches, and a private deck with tables, chairs, and propane BBQ.
Directly to the right of the unit is a forest wilderness’ area that includes a nature path leaving from the unit.
The home is at the end of a very nice street with lighting and sidewalks.
A short wilderness trail begins at the unit and a five minute walk up the street takes you to the trailhead of one of the best trails in Juneau - the Dan Moller trail. This three-mile trail ends at the Dan Moller Cabin, a Forest Service public day use cabin that includes a heater. Nice place to dry out and have lunch. You can rent the cabin for the night from the Forest Service for a small fee.
Your private deck is partially covered and includes deck chairs, table and a propane bbq. Inside the sliding glass doors is a great room with a 42” flat screen with DVD, dining room with table and four chairs, a large comfortable couch a modern chair recliner – great for reading, aka napping.
Three stools surround the stove\cooking\kitchen island area. The kitchen is nicely equipped with full oven, range, dish washer and double wide fridge with ice and filtered water and many small appliances.
In the unit are plenty of the cooking basics including blender, mixing bowls, plates, cups and glasses, cooking oil, butter, glasses, cooking pans, flour, muffin mix, spices, butter, coffee maker and coffee :)
A full washer and dryer are also private for you along with a sitting and family room in the back with an office area, a pull-out bed. This family room is a great place for the kids to spread-out or a quiet place to work.
There is a laptop for your use in the unit.
The bathroom has a tiled, heated floor with full tub\shower. Bathroom is pass-through so you can get to it directly from the main bedroom or the hallway.
Both bedrooms have comfortable queen beds, night stands, closet, clocks, IPhone players, and other amenities. Bedroom one also has its own flat screen with full cable with HBO and DVD.
The dining area has a table with four chairs and there is an additional full-sized table on the deck with four chairs and two extra around the corner.
There is a road bike and a mountain bike for your use parked at your unit – including helmets.
The unit is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the local Foodland IGA grocery store, restaurants and bars. An additional 5 to 10 minute walk takes you to the heart of downtown Juneau. It is 12 minute drive to Costco or Fred Meyers.
High-speed wireless Internet is included with your stay.
We want to make this your relaxing vacation get away. We’re there if you need anything, but if you like your privacy, then our paths will not likely pass unless you need something.
If you don’t have a car, taxi fare from the airport generally runs $23.00. There is parking for your car next to the unit. It’s only a three minute walk from the unit to the city bus system. The City bus system will take you anywhere in Juneau including within a half mile of the glacier visitor center.

Steve is an analyst for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries Service, former director of Juneau Mountain Rescue and retired Army aviator. Ann-Marie is the coordinator of the State of Alaska's Early Childhood Nutrition Program and is a health advocate.

This property sits in one of the best areas in Juneau. Great views of mountains, downtown Juneau, privacy, comfortable and includes about every amenity you want want on a vacation.
This end of a street property has a short nature trail that leaves directly from the house. A five minute walk takes you to the beginning of one of the best trails for hiking in Juneau. Easy walking distance to downtown Juneau.
Beautiful setting with a night time view of Juneau's lights. Thoughtful hosts who have created a very pleasant, pretty, comfortable, well provided apartment. Nice efficient kitchen,great TV choices. We highly recommend this Douglas Island choice, especially for longer stays.
'Relax on Blueberry Hill' is well cared for and very comfortable. It's easily among the best-outfitted properties I've ever rented.
"Relax on Blueberry Hill" is the perfect name for the perfect get away place. Steve and Ann-Marie are everything you would want in a host and hostess. We were there to visit our daughter and she was able to get into the rental with some groceries before we arrived later that evening. Steve and Ann-Marie were available if we needed anything and they also gave us our privacy. Even though they reside upstairs, the rental felt like our own place. We were able to watch the resident eagle from our deck almost daily, and even got to meet one of the family cats who was as friendly and warm as our hosts. Steve came down with a warm blueberry and rhubarb cobbler fresh out of the oven that Ann-Marie had just baked. They even had a dish of chocolates for us near the comfy sofa and chair. If you are looking for an awesome place to stay, away from the noise and congestion of downtown Juneau, look no further than Blueberry Hill. You won't be disappointed. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Juneau. Thank you so much Steve and Ann-Marie. P.S. The pizza at the Island Bar on Douglas Island is the best pizza we've ever tasted! Wish we had this back here in Minnesota.

Whether you like Blueberries or not, you're going to love this condo on
Blueberry Hill. We had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful 2 bedroom,
1 bath, kitchen, dining and family room condo. Everything we needed was
provided for us. My wife and I tried to think of anything Ann-Marie and
Steve (Owners) had forgotten but the truth is they've thought of everything!
From the time we arrived late, there was pizza in the refrigerator waiting
for us. It was like leaving our home in VA and having everything we use on
daily basis waiting for us. We had a beautiful view from the deck of the
city of Juneau and the Gastineau Channel. Each morning I would go out on the
deck and eat my protein bar and there would be a Bald Eagle in the tree
right in front of me. I was totally amazed and in awe every day I went outside.
Blueberry Hill is close to everything! It takes approximately 5-7 minutes to
drive downtown for shopping or to just go to the grocery store.
For those of you that would like a nice glass of wine or another type of
adult beverage, there is a small store 2 minutes away by car or 5 minutes by
Free Wi-Fi is provided, a favorite for my teenage daughters. They felt right
at home and didn't want to leave. Truth be told...I didn't either.
If you're on the fence and trying to determine where you want to lodge,
trust me, look no further. Blueberry Hill is what you want!
My husband and I stayed at Blueberry Hill with my elderly mother and it was accessible, clean and comfortable. It is well stocked and we enjoyed the deck with its' beautiful view, cooking, and relaxing here. The location is fantastic to anywhere you want to go in Juneau. It is located in a nice neighborhood. The owners were excellent to work with and they have paid attention to detail to make their rental excellent!
We stayed in this home during our visit to Juneau in July. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of space. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were really great to work with throughout the entire processes and they are located on property so it is nice should you need anything. The place is in a great location on the island and very close to downtown. Our kids also had a nice time petting their cat which roams around out front.
Wonderful quiet neighborhood with great views, side walks, and lighting, and lots of hiking trails. One trail leaves from the house. And best of all...only the majestic mountains get in the way of your views.
