The Sunrise Cabin is fully furnished with 2 queen beds, all kitchen utensils, appliances, and linens. A full-sized washer and dryer and a dishwasher provide guests with all the comforts of home. All you need to bring are groceries, and if you would like to use the BBQ grill, charcoal and lighter fluid. The interior of the cabin is designed to make guests feel relaxed and comfortable. From the back deck, you can enjoy the astonishing views of the rolling hills, river, and fields below. The nearby pond holds some of the largest bullfrogs you will ever see and plenty of fish for you to catch. A picnic table, fire ring, and horseshoe pits are in the shade next to the cabin for guests to enjoy with family and friends.
I was raised here on the farm where the cabin is located. My husband and I have lived here since 1991. We both went to the local Steelville School and love our home town. It is a true joy to be able to share this beautiful land with our guests.
Tracey Keeven purchased this cabin in 2013
The farm was originally owned by my great-grandfather. My grandfather was born in the original farmhouse, and my mother and her twin sister, as well as me and my daughter, have all grown up here on the farm.
This cabin is our way of letting other people enjoy and experience the piece of heaven that we have been so blessed to have grown up with. It is truly a spiritual feeling to wake up and see the misty morning sunrises. The peace and serenity that you will find here is priceless in today's world.
Very clean, relaxing and peaceful stay. We will definitely be returning!
This was an excellent little place to get away! It was fun driving through parts of the farm to get to this little cabin perched on the hill overlooking the valley. It was amazing to relax in the hot tub looking out at it all. The cabin is only about 15 mins from Steelville which was convenient for buying food and the cabin had everything we needed to cook food for ourselves. We had an excellent stay and would definitely come back.
This was our first stay at the Sunrise Cabin - and it will definitely not be our last! Accommodations were first rate. Private and quiet - but still close enough to town if you needed anything last minute. And, as we were both nursing sore backs, the hot tub was a much welcomed and added plus!
This cabin was amazing. My family and I enjoyed the serenity of the location and will definitely be back. Tracey and Jeff have thought of everything you could need or want while away from home. The view from the hot tub is definitely one to remember. Thank you for hosting us and we look forward to returning.
My husband, son, dog, and I had a wonderful visit at the kick n K sunrise cabin. The pictures do not do it justice. It was a very nice little cabin with almost everything you need. The view was beautiful and the whole visit was so relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the towels were super soft. I loved sitting in the hot tube overlooking the fields and trees. We also saw a beautiful fireworks show that they must have set off at the Cuba fair, a nice unexpected treat. They had a few friendly dog visitors that liked to come visit the porch to say hello. We will defiantly be back to visit in the future.
The accommodations of the Sunrise cabin are top notch. Comfortable beds, wifi, and hot tub all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. Plus we were able to bring our dog and visit nearby wineries (some also allow dogs). There is river access on the property and I was able to catch and release a few fish. The water is fairly clear and wading in was a great way to cool off as well as fish.
We are located five miles from Steelville, MO which is small town America at its finest. Main Street, with its cafes, antique shops, and restaurants, is a refreshing change from the stresses of daily life. The local Meramec Music Theatre boasts Branson-type entertainment in this peaceful rural community. Wildwood Springs Lodge, just on the north side of Steelville, also offers many entertainment options. Peaceful Bend Winery, featuring a shaded wine garden, hiking trails, and beautiful scenery, is only 1.5 miles from the Kick'n K. We are also a short drive from Maramec Spring Park, which is always a beautiful place for relaxing or fishing. On the farm, guests can enjoy true farm life, complete with river access, float trips, and arena riding.
