2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom In A Fabulous Location

A beautiful Victorian home originally built at the turn of the last century and architecturally transformed into newly renovated vacation rentals. The comforts of the new and charm of the old! You will feel completely at home with two bedrooms, both with bathrooms. The kitchen has been remodeled with new cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances.

It is well supplied with pots and pans etc should you have an interest in cooking meals. There are many peaceful and relaxing nooks. Family and friends can relax at the end of the day either in the living area, dining room, sun porch or backyard.

This is a very comfortable unit with cable TV, flat screen 3D HDTV with DVD, CD stereo, towels and linens are provided, new large washer and dryer. Air conditioning except in the upper bedroom. Plenty of natural light and a sun/reading/rain watching room. The large dining room has French doors that lead onto a wonderful sun room which is perfect for reading.

Hardwood floors throughout other than the bedrooms which are carpeted and have comfortable queen sized beds.

Multiple families/parties traveling together? Luxury 3 bed 2.5baths & 2 bed 2 bath in the same building. 478874 (this) & 512525.

We are located in Portland’s historic Nob Hill/Alphabet district west of the I-405. It is a central location with a mix of vintage, independent and higher end shops 1-3 blocks away. Couch park is a lovely green space and less than 2 blocks away.

Working in Portland? Bring your laptop, we have a scanner-printer, high-speed Internet with wireless throughout the apartment. Staying here, you will probably never have to use a car to get around town. Parking is limited. This neighborhood has one of the best walking scores in all of Portland.

Parking: We have a parking permit that guests are welcome to use.

The Location

This home is located in a prime location a few blocks from popular NW 21st & 23rd avenues, 3 blocks from the Pearl district and 10 blocks to downtown Portland. There are lots of boutiques, home design shops both local and well-known stores, antiques. Portland has hiking & biking trails, parks, galleries, fabulous restaurants whether for happy hour or fine dining, European bakeries, local micro breweries and pubs, coffee shops. Just about everything for an enjoyable visit. It is very close to the street car. There is the convenience of a great health conscience urban grocery store for everyday necessities. Close to public transit… makes this a great place to stay.

Cultural attractions include performing arts, Portland Art Museum and countless art galleries in the Pearl and Nob Hill. Major league soccer (Portland Timbers) is within walking distance. Scenic day trips range from Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood, the Columbia Gorge, Oregon wine country within 60 miles. The Oregon coast is 70 miles. Minutes from boutique shopping, restaurants in the Pearl and on 21st and 23rd, 4 blocks from streetcar, bus, 2 miles from downtown, 6 blocks from Good Sam Hospital, 15 minutes or less from Oregon Zoo, Rose Quarter, Providence Park Soccer Arena, OHSU, PSU, St. Vincent and Providence Medical Centers.

Just three blocks to the Street Car (local mass transit) which allows easy access to all of Portland.

There are 4 steps from the street to the entrance and 15 steps from the living area to the upper bedroom. 6 steps to the rear patio.

One bedroom down and one up, both with queen beds.

Great Place - Will visit again

The house is beautiful and well setup for the visitor. Lacked nothing!

My only caveat is not about the house it's the drive from Vancouver Canada to Portland.

The traffic in on I5 through Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia area is the worst I've ever seen and I've been stuck in some very good traffic jams.

(New York, LA, Toronto) Took 5 hours to go 70 miles! (average 14 mph)

No accidents, no major construction, just volume of traffic. Bumper to bumper, stop and go...

Even the Sunday return trip was bad so it's not just a rush hour issue.

Too many cars, not enough road.

Fly don't drive!

PERFECT stay at both properties! A wedding celebration!

The previous reviews are very accurate. Both properties are perfect. I had rented the dog friendly lower unit almost one year before my son's Portland wedding. I sent the information on the top unit to my Washington DC family and they jumped on it. I have rented properties in the past but these properties are perfectly maintained.

I particularly loved the Master in our unit with an amazing closet and bathroom with soaking tub and shower. It was extremely relaxing for my pre wedding prep!

The units are well stocked with everything you could think of....ziplock bags, laundry detergent. Gourmet kitchen which came in very useful for our post wedding BBQ. We enjoyed cooking a prime rib on the grill! We had such a wonderful trip. Really walkable to everything. Enjoyed Saturday market, restaurants and breweries in the Pearl.

We walked to the Rose Garden three times, enjoyed ice cream at Salt and Straw, visited the Mississippi neighborhood. Took the opportunity to explore areas in Portland we had not visited before. We will absolutely be renting this property again! LOVED IT! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! WIne and coffee!!!

Perfect again!

I hate to write such a good review as I want to keep this place waiting for us! But actually it really is 5 stars. The house is charming and immaculate. Debbie's attention to detail and travel advice is diligent. Location is fabulous. We have family in the area and would not visit without securing this lodging 1st!

Great house, great location

We booked this for two couples. Both rooms and bathrooms were excellent without too much difference in size. The entire house is well appointed with plenty of common areas for gathering. The location was superb - walking distance to the Pearl district, downtown, and all the restaurants on Nob Hill's 23rd St.

Charming, Confortable, Clean, and Convenient!

Like any great diamond this home has all the 4 C's! The decor is quite charming with that old style character. Little bird figurines are found throughout the home, and are darling. The old wood floors, antiques, and architecture of this home bring you back to a simpler time. The beds and furnishings are very comfortable so you can easily rest after a long day of sightseeing. And this property is spotlessly clean.......from top to bottom. How refreshing to have such a fresh, clean home upon arrival. The location is convenient to so many shops, restaurants, and parks, and is in a quiet, quaint neighborhood.

Debbie is wonderful to work with, and a gracious hostess. Any question we had was promptly answered. You cannot beat the price of this property for what you get. Debbie has thought of everything from Ziploc bags, umbrellas, soaps and shampoos to every kitchen utensil under the sun! We highly recommend this beautiful home.

Great rental, Great location

We wanted somewhere comfortable that was walkable into central Portland and this fit the bill perfectly. There is a small off-leash dog park within a few minutes walk, and also Trader Joe's and numerous other restaurants, bars and cafes within an easy stroll. The sun room is a wonderful place to hang out, eat breakfast and chat or read. The only negative was the Portland heatwave we stumbled into (100+ degrees two of the days), rendering the upstairs bedroom (no a/c upstairs) uncomfortably warm. The Parking right outside the house was also very convenient - we could easily have not driven the entire time we were there, as everything was so close by. You won't regret a walk to Ken's Artisan Bakery nearby, but for a truly wonderful experience, take a short drive to the St. Honoré Boulangerie (Bakery). Lastly, the "Frying Scotsman" fish and chips from a food truck near Powell's bookshop was excellent! All-in-all we had a great time.
