Come enjoy our five bedroom lake house. Three of the five bedrooms have queen size beds. The master has a king bed and futon and the fifth bedroom has two twin beds. There are two full baths. The camp is designed as an open concept so guests in the kitchen may enjoy company in the dining area and living room. Great views of the mountains and large yard for games, picnics and gathering. Have dinner on our screened porch. The large porch and extra large table make a great place for playing games in the evening. The table seats 10! We have a dock to park your boat and a sandy beach and shallow swimming, great for small children. Short walking distance to snack shop and ice cream stand. There is also a convenience store within walking distance and we are also very close to Kampersville which is an RV park with lots of entertainment! Bring your bikes for a ride or rent a paddle boat from nearby rental.

About Kylie Quesnel
This property was owned by our Grandparents and after their passing my siblings and I purchased it from their estate. The lake house has hosted many family gatherings and holds memories of 16 Grandchildren spending summers there. We live a few towns away and look forward to sharing our special place with other families. Our family operates a farm by trade and our lake house is built from some of the original beams from one of our original dairy barns! You will love the charm and character of our family lake house!
Kylie Quesnel purchased this Chalet in 1970
Why Kylie Quesnel chose Salisbury
This property has been in our family now for three generations. We hope to enjoy it for generations to come. The fourth generation of our family is making memories in the waters of Dunmore!
What makes this Chalet unique
Our lake house has remnants of our family farm. We have an exposed beam that is from our old dairy barn in the living room and the panton stone that makes up the fireplace is hand chosen and moved from the field from farm land in Vergennes. Our lake house beams with character and will remind you of a country chalet.

Nicely thought out house
The house is well equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately for us the weather did not cooperate but we all loved being together. The weekend after Labor Day is quiet which was lovely since there were very few watercraft around. A very nice neighbor sat and chatted with my 88 year old mother. The last might we were able to have a fire in the fire pit and sit around telling stories. Our group included my husband and me, my three of my children, a son-in-law, my mother and two of my grandchildren. My sister and her daughter and family dropped by for dinner and campfire. The landlord has thoughtfully provided many night lights and flashlights and linens. You may want to bring extra comforters if the weather is cold.
I wanted to give five stars but I messaged via the website and phoned the number provided with a couple of questions but did not get a response.
Great place for an intergenerational vacation
We were two sets of grandparents, the proud new parents, and one five month old grandchild. Looking forward to returning when he's mobile! Great location for viewing the mountains, wading in the lake, kayaking, sitting around the fire pit, eating on the porch, and walking for ice cream. We all agreed that it might be one of the best locations for a family on Lake Dunmore. A few enhancements upstairs in the house would make the stay perfect. I did leave a note with recommendations. Thank you to the Quersel family!
Great property for large family with small children.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property owners are wonderful and have stocked the home with every possible need. It even has two refrigerators!! We were able to cook and BBQ easily. It also has a large fire pit to sit around and talk and to roast s'mores. There are two showers however the water pressure was not great upstairs but it did the job. The swimming area was excellent for children, it is very shallow, even at the end of the dock area. The property is located near a local store and ice cream is a short walk. We can't wait to go back. You will enjoy your vacation at this property!
excellent for young children
The camp was clean and well kept, but the main reason for us to rent this camp was access to the water.
We have three young grandchildren and they are not the best swimmers at this point in there life.
The gentle slope into the water was easy for them to get in and out, and the dock was fun for them to jump off of.
I would rate this a five, but the neighbors are very close and could be noisy at times, also I would have like some outside trash bins, the animals got into the trash a number of times.
Great House and Great Swimming
This was the second time we rented this home for a summer vacation. Highlights: kitchen set up is ideal to cook for a crowd, comfortable dining on the screen porch, swimming area is fantastic, walk to ice cream and store, docking available for boat. The best testament is from our Grandchildren who lovingly refer to it as the "Brown House" and was heard saying "This is the best day of my life" and "We want to live here forever!". I am sure we will be back. Yeah Brown House!
Great spot on the water of a beautiful lake.
The house is spacious and accommodated us very well. The location was great, right on the water of a quiet cove. Great hiking, biking, paddling, fishing and swimming.
