Cortijo Lagar de Luisa is a 10.000 m2 property with easy access, surrounded by avocado trees, vineyards, almond and olive groves. An ecological vegetable garden belongs to this farmstead situated on a quiet little valley with splendid views. The Cortijo although newly built (year 2000), has followed traditional construction techniques with thick walls, baked clay floors & wooden ceilings. Its architecture is perfectly integrated into the surroundings. It boasts a spacious dwelling with independent entrance. The house is fully furnished & comfortable, has a living room-cum-kitchen, a big bedroom & bath with shower. Air condition (hot-cold) in the living room, electric heating in bed- & bathroom. TV-microwave-hairdryer. The hot water system is working with solar energy. The little village of El Borge is 1.5 km from the Cortijo; the airport 50 km, Malaga 40 km & the beach 20 km. The German-Spanish owners live on the property & are always available for any help. Children are welcome.

All the year round we have herbs to pick up, a lot of vegetable like lettuce, tomatoes, pepper,onions,spinach........ grows in our garden and our fruit trees have fruits in every season. In spring we have 'nisperos' and plums, in summer grapes and figs and in the autumn the granade apples, khakis,mangos and almonds are ready for all our guests. From November onwards the avocados are ready to be picked up and from December onwards we have a lot of oranges and mandarines which are delicious.

For bird-watchers the best time of the year is spring, as a lot of birds come in winter and stay here until May.

El Borge is a beautiful, quiet little white village with friendly, hospitable people. It is ideal for individualists who seek places where the word tourism has no meaning. People who want to enjoy the real Andalusia, the nature (close to Sierra de Tejeda y Almijara and Montes de Malaga natural parks) and the nearby Mediterranean Sea in a rural house with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. In El Borge you find some taverns and a little hotel with fresh good meat dishes, fresh fish and vegetables and there are some little shops with all the necessary things for a stay. The village is surrounded by the famous 'moscatel' vineyards, the sweet grapes giving the name to the Malaga wine. The raisin day 'fiesta de la pasa' is celebrated every September and everybody is invited to try the new raisins and the wine. Sports nearby: swimming, cycling, golf, mountain biking, riding, tennis and walking.
