A cozy room with a queen-sized bed and it's own private bath in the historic Frank A. Moss House, circa 1902. You'll be a block from the water and three blocks from Washington's Downtown Harbor District and waterfront. Park your car and never get in it again til you leave. Everything you'd want to do is within walking distance. Quaint shops, restaurants, and the waterfront await you. There's also a beautiful (and rare) of only a handful on the east coast. You can walk there and learn about the eco-system where salt water meets freshwater as the ocean comes inland (or is it, as the river goes out to sea?). Come find out! Also, we have two cats — Milo and Chessie. If you are not allergic, it’s all good. If you are, know that we take great pains to minimize the cat’s impact by cleaning thoroughly, changing the house air filters regularly, and keeping the cats largely downstairs and away from the guestrooms. But do you want to make sure you’re aware.

About Jeff Furst
LInda and I looked all over North Carolina for a small beautiful town to settle in. We found what we were looking for in Washington, NC. Our home is just a block from the water and three blocks from the quaint Downtown Harbor District and public waterfront and docks. Sunsets there like you wouldn't believe. We bought a historic home that is on the Historic Districts walking tour and we want to share it. Hope you'll come stay with us. Those who have have really enjoyed it. We think you will, too.

Why Jeff Furst chose Washington
We love being in a this stately home that is so much a part of the fabric of this history of this town. Frank Moss, who built the home, was a leader in the community who's family ties to the area run do. And such a great location. You can walk just about anywhere you'd want to the water, the just a short stroll away.

A Cozy and Restful Retreat
Our stay was wonderfully relaxing. We enjoyed the ambience of this period home with its high ceilings, wood floors and beautifully appointed rooms. The fresh flowers in our room were a nice welcoming gesture. The proximity to downtown and the waterfront encouraged us to take many a leisurely stroll. We spent a couple of peaceful evenings dining at downtown restaurants, walking along the waterfront at sunset, and winding down the evening with books on the back porch. Our hosts, Jeff and Linda, were personable, helpful and attentive. We will certainly return.

Fantastic and Wonderful
Our stay was perfect. The owners made us feel at home and it felt like we were staying with friends. The house was excellent what you expected for it's history and grandeur. Words fall short of how well we were treated and the care and attention that was provided. A great experience.
Lovely house, lovely people. 2 blocks from the River. Great place for boaters on the ICW to stay.
Washington is a nice, small town with lots to see & do. This house is walkable from the river and the downtown. Comfortable and restful.
One block from the river and three blocks from Downtown Harbor District with it's quaint shops and beautiful waterfront and public dock. A rare Estuarium that has educational programs and tours. All without having to get in your car.
