We've been blessed to call Coeur d' Alene, home for the past 17 years. Downtown Coeur d' Alene has been our stomping ground. Our home has been the 'go-to' for many joyous family reunions.
Simpkin Family purchased this house in 2007
We love downtown! The birds, people, list goes on and on. Walking has become part of who we are. From the farmers market to the annual Art on the Green, Coeur d' Alene is the perfect place to make memories. One of our favorite is the lighting ceremony the day after Thanksgiving. With a cup of hot chocolate in hand, we walk with friends and family to take part in the parade. Following the parade is the most amazing caroling, candle light ceremony and fireworks display. A perfect event to set the Christmas festivities in motion.
Our neighborhood is a small triangular section set apart from the other 'downtown' area, but just a few minutes to all the events, bike trail and parks. It's a kick back of the good ole' days when everyone knew everyone else. People are friendly, here.
Just wanted to let you know we enjoyed our stay at your property very much and also appreciated you accommodating our needs. Thanks for everything and we may be coming back next year :)
6 of us went to a wedding and rented this house for the weekend. This was perfect for us and I wanted to write a review because the place really is a great value. Every detail has been thought about. Very cute cottage and it was extremely clean. It is clear that they take pride in the house and I recommend it.
This house is great for a family with all the comforts of home. Very enjoyable owners.
The home has 3 private bedrooms, 2 full baths, nice kitchen and outdoor patio area with grill and hot tub. The house was very clean. Owner was available and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay and would stay and would return to this house again. The only slight disadvantage was the A/C. One room A/C unit in living room and Idaho was having a heat wave (97). What are the chances of that?
We stayed here for a "baby-moon". It was our last girls weekend before our friend has her baby. The house was literally a 5 minute walk from town which was great. The kitchen was fully stocked (equipment wise) and had everything we needed and we were close to the grocery store. The patio area was great for sitting out, there was a BBQ and fire pit readily available. The only downside to this property was the religious decor. It's a little different staying in someone else's home and to be surrounded by their religious beliefs can be somewhat intimidating.
This house was all it was advertised to be and more. It was well cared for and very comfortable. All the sleeping accommodations were good and just as we expected. The hosts are great people and made the experience more enjoyable. Don't hesitate to book this one!
We had a wonderful stay at this rental! We entertained several family members while there and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. The owners were exceptionally accommodating and seemed to truly care that we had a nice experience. The kids loved the hot tub and the outdoor area is a nice feature. Our only complaint was the bed in the master bedroom. It seemed smaller than a queen and was not exceptionally comfortable. It was fine for a 2 night stay but a longer stay might be tough for two people with bad backs.
Home is nestled in a quiet section of downtown and walking distance to the following: Ironman, 4th of July festivities, Art on the Green, beach, boardwalk, vintage/antique/thrift stores in mid-town or quaint shops downtown. Fresh new biking/walking trails cover the downtown area many that offer access to Trails of the Coeur d' Alene.
The Stateline Speedway never fails to deliver family fun. Plan to spend an entire day at Silverwood Theme Park. Numerous concerts are offered at Silver Mountain, year round. Spokane is a short drive and includes attractions such as, IMAX, vintage/thrift shops, and Greenbluff farms.
