My home is a quiet 900 s.f. two bedroom, one bathroom condo in an up-and-coming part of town close to downtown, the airport, and many attractions. It is a popular location for people who want to be close to downtown, but far enough to avoid the noise and traffic. The property is an older structure that features a pool, laundry facilities, secure parking, and access to Ladybird Lake and the boardwalk.
My condo has two bedrooms of similar size, each with new pillow-top queen beds and light-blocking window coverings. The decor is a mix of modern/minimalist and "rock 'n roll chic". No beige and white color palette here.
The kitchen has all the supplies for food preparation and dining, but is not a "chef's kitchen" by any means, meaning there is plenty to make your stay feel like home, however I encourage you to sample some of the many unique dining experiences my city has to offer.
The living area has a television, but we are "cord-cutters" so any media you wish to watch will have to be from your own device via a HDMI cable. WiFi is available.
The large bathroom features a shower/tub and plenty of bath and pool towels. The laundry room is right down the hall.
There are many activities and features within walking distance. Just across the street is Ladybird Lake and the Butler hike and bike trail for a morning run or evening stroll. Kayak rentals are seasonally available nearby, and a bike share is across the street (search and sign up for Austin B Cycle). Within a couple blocks is a bar, two coffee shops, a small market, a pharmacy, and a handful of restaurants. Easy access to the city center and Rainey Street.
Please note that this is my home, not just a rental unit, so there are personal items throughout. I hope my guests treat my home with as much respect as they would want their own home treated. I also like my neighbors, so please respect their privacy and be mindful of the quiet hours of 10 PM to 8 AM, including the pool area. Parties or extra guests are not permitted.
