The villa is situated a short distance away from a huge pine forest where you can go for a picnic, walking and mountain biking. Villa Ginesta is just a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach of Riells and a short car drive to the beaches at Montgo and Ampurias. All beaches are of soft sand and Blueflag. Great beach bars serving an assortment of food and drinks. Lifeguards and first aid posts on all beaches. L'Escala old town has retained its character and charm and has many interesting shops and excellent restaurants.

Everything you would want from a villa
This is now the third time we have stayed at Villa Ginesta, and as with the previous two times we were not disappointed.
It has everything a large group would need. Proper beds, as apposed to camp beds or sofa beds and enough showers and toilets to cope with the evening rush.
The description with the villa is accurate. It is only 10 minutes walk from the Riells beach, restaurants and shops, with a bakers/coffee/bar 2 minutes round the corner for the morning breakfast run.
I would definitely recommend this villa and would like to thank Steve from Enterprise Properties for making it a great stay.

Enterprise Property L'Escala
This villa accommodated myself, my husband, both our sons, their partners and their children.
The description on this site was 99% accurate. To our sons' delight the villa now has wifi and internet tv which meant our granddaughters could relax indoors out of the heat during an afternoon.
The villa was very well maintained and like a tardis inside. The downstairs accommodation double bedroom with ensuite, plus large room with 3 single beds, plus family bathroom with washing machine, plus additional playroom and tv room. Motion activated lighting in the downstairs hall was invaluable for children when they had to access the bathroom during the night.
Plenty of high quality bath sheets, hand towels and beach towels were provided.
Lots of pool toys and beach accessories stored underneath the side of the house.
The fig tree gave shade throughout the day and we were fortunate enough to be there when the fruit was ripening so ate fresh figs daily.
The house and garden are extremely well maintained. The pool man came 3 times per week to look after both the pool and the garden.
The villa was about a 10 minute walk to Riells beach where there was plenty of entertainment for all the family. Safe bathing, gently sloping and great sand for sand castles. Peddalos etc available for hire.
Plenty of good restaurants the length of Riells beach as well as the road behind, most offering set price menus including wine or water.
There is a funfair at night on the beach front as well as a nightly market.
Local shops for bread/fruit etc reasonable but 5 minutes drive and you have a choice of Aldi, Carrefour. Lidl and Mercadona supermarkets.
A land train runs frequently from Cala Montgo to the Empurada beaches costing 2 euros a trip. A good way to see what is available along the coast and what beaches are available.
The old town of L'Escala is well worth exploring and you will find lots of little bars, cafes and restaurants. We frequented El Petite Cafe several times, just down from the church. Fabulous meal and staff very attentive and enthusiastic.
There is a Sunday market which runs all along the prom, excellent value.
Would definitely recommend this property to family, friends and anyone else that will listen.

The Villa Ginesta was extremely comfortable with everything you could think of needing, being provided for, a real home from home. The added bonus of central heating made the villa very warm and cosy, making it ideal for an out of season holiday. The little bakery just down the road had great bread for a breakfast treat too, and very friendly staff. It was a good quiet location for exploring the L'Escala area. The Villa was well maintained, and very clean.
Steve, who was looking after the property, was very friendly and helpful, and all the information regarding restaurants etc. which was sent to us before our arrival was really very useful.
I would not hesitate in recommending staying in this villa.

The lovely Spanish seaside town of L'Escala is situated on the Mediterranean in the bay of Roses, it's beautiful beaches make it an ideal place for family holidays, it is both a working town and a tourist resort, the old town is very traditional with it's maze of narrow streets filled with shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. There are plenty of nearby places to visit, figures with the Museum of the famous artist Salvador Dali, the cultural city of Girona, La Bisbal which is famous for it's ceramics, the lovely moated medieval village of Peratallada and the fantastic city of Barcelona 140km away. Empuries boasts the extensive Greco Roman ruins and the small village of St. Marti is just wonderful with it's plaza of restaurants and pretty church. L'Escala offers plenty of activities and water sports to suit all ages.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES Properties are available from 16:00 hrs on the day of arrival. If you arrive before that time you can contact us to see if the property will be available earlier than 16:00 Properties are required to be vacated at 10:00 hrs on the day of departure. PROPERTY CONDITION & CLEANLINESS You will find our property clean and in good order on arrival. You must therefore leave it clean and in good order, at the end of your stay. The property that you have rented is a privately owned property. It represents a considerable financial investment and in some cases is the owners own home. We ask you to be mindful of this during your stay and to treat the property and its contents with care and respect. On arrival, If you find a problem with the property or its contents, YOU must report this to us as soonas possible or you may be held responsible. DEPOSIT/BOND The mandatory security/cleaning bond of €200 Euros is not included in the rental price. This will be added to the invoice during or after the initial reservation request. You will need to pay the bond within the normal payment conditions, The bond will be refunded within 7 working days of departure by bank transfer/Credit Card or PayPal and provided the property is in good condition and clean and /or deducting the expenses in case of repair or replacement of broken items ,damaged or missing and extra hours of cleaning. You are responsible for damages that exceed the amount of the €200 Euros bond . We advise you to contact us in case of damages which you caused. Any additional cleaning required as a result of the property not being left in good order will be charged at €25 Euros per hour and will be deducted from the Bond Payment.
