We want you to enjoy your stay as much as we do. Whether you are hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking or just relaxing we promise this home will be the perfect fit.
My husband built this house from the ground up. He has been a General Contractor for 17 years. We have 2 children ages 9 and 13. We lived in this home for over a year while we built a new home in Butte, MT. We have made so many great memories with our family and friends at this place we call 'The Cabin'. Now that our kids are getting older and extremely busy with traveling sports we have found that we don't have the time to enjoy this beautiful 'Cabin'. We wanted to families to enjoy it as much as we have so we decided to rent our 'Cabin'.
Jamie Reopelle purchased this cabin in 2005
We chose this Property at Georgetown lake soon after we had our baby girl. We are a very outdoorsy family and love to have gatherings with our Family and Friends and enjoy boating, skiing, and snowmobiling. When we found this property we fell in love. The Views sold us instantly. Not only were the views unbelivable but we could leave on our snowmobiles right from our property or take our boat for a ride on the lake when we wanted too. There would be not other place I would choose.
The benefits of this property are endless. The year round access to so many recreational activites, the peacefulness and wildlife right out your front door and most of all the hominess of this home to invite all our family and friends to make memories that will last a lifetime.
We had an absolutely wonderful time!!! The place was everything we wished for and more! Absolutely breathtaking views and beautiful cabin! Jamie was wonderful to work with and extremely accommodating!! Can't wait to make it back if we get the chance!
We loved this place, it more than met expectations! Such a beautiful home. The one problem we had was except for the one person with a 'hotspot', we were unable to get phone service. That probably caused more problems than anything else! But now we know, so if we are able to book again, we will be prepared! There was so much room, the views were awesome-we saw deer in the back, a chipmunk (resident, I think) and a moose in the front yard! Not to mention the numerous birdsongs, the lake view, the fresh air... The hot tub was enjoyed every day, and the kitchen was large enough for everyone to pitch in and help with meals. I would not recommend this for smaller children, like under 3, the stairs were a bit intimidating for one of the grandkids. The really cool sandbox on the side of the house had visible animal poo in it, otherwise it would have been a perfect spot for some of the kids; I have no idea how you would prevent that sort of thing from happening unless you had a super large cover...it was fine, we had other things to do. Loved the experience.
My sisters and I rented this home to take my mother on a weekend for her 84th birthday. The pictures and description of this home were spot on. The view is breath taking, that had to be our favorite part. We would recommend this home, it was clean and very comfortable. The owners where very good to respond on everything we asked.
We rented this cabin for a week for our family and had a wonderful time! Beautiful new home with great cabin feel. Not an ounce of Sheetrock, fully wood lined inside and out, Upgraded fixtures, furnished very well and very roomy! Everything was well stocked for our needs. Views absolutely spectacular! Hot tub was a great treat after being on the ski hill all day. Many great memories made here! We thank you for sharing your home! You will get referrals from us! - Vances
P.s. The folks that complained about 2 spaces without windows...we greatly appreciated the use of these extra rooms with comfy beds. Gotta have a window? - open the door...as for us we enjoyed privacy...great use of space we thought! Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous home with a beautiful view! Spacious living areas with more than enough room to roam. Home has modern features with a rustic Montana feeling. Amenities galore. I highly recommend this property for your vacation needs. We will definitely be back.
First off, let's start with the Good: The view was incredible and the hot tub was a nice treat after a day of hiking and sight seeing. The common room (kitchen, living and dining) is of a very nice design and the furniture was very comfortable. We also grilled one night and used the large dining table for all of us to sit and chat while enjoying a good meal.
Now for the Bad: A few days before we arrived, we were sent a list of items that were broken or not working. This included a cracked large picture window (that was actually fully broken when we arrived) and a broken deck stool (not really an issue for us). When we got to the house the oven was not working and one of the main burners needed the jets cleaned as it did not work correctly (we chose not to use it). With some effort we were able to work around the stove/oven issues. One final item that was not broken but was a bother is that none of the bedrooms had bed side tables or lamps which seemed odd. Maybe we are the minority, be we needed a place to put travel clocks and reading glasses and lack of a lamp made reading in bed a non-starter.
And finally the Ugly: My biggest issue was that two of the bedrooms did not have windows. By Code, a room without a window cannot be called a bedroom, so this 5 bedroom house is actually a 3 bedroom house. The window is required for escape in an emergency situation. One of the two rooms was used by an adult and in the end he got over it and slept fine, but the smaller room with the twin bed was used by my son and he was up most nights because he wasn’t comfortable in the room (lack of window). At the time we placed the reservation the Owner's VRBO ad did not clarify the window/bedroom situation. If it had, we would have passed on this house.
Again, the house is nice, clean and the view and location are terrific, but the bedroom oddities and the window situation made the stay less than ideal.
