This very spacious rustic self contained cottage is attached to a large century home in the Historic Garrison Area. The guest bedroom is very large and airy. The cottage is fully equipped and features a spacious uncovered patio at the front and a large backyard. Very pleasant environment for a stay of any length. Guests are welcomed to share the common areas and will have some use of the kitchen. This cottage is located close to public transportation and is within walking distance to beaches, historic buildings and restaurants. The property is also very close to the capital, Bridgetown. Because of the abundance of trees in the area it is breezy all day especially the backyard.

Bev was an excellent host for my overnight stay. She was full of useful info, and her accommodations were very nice. Since I was traveling alone on my first trip to Barbados, I couldn’t have asked for a better place that perfectly fit my situation. Everything was clean and exactly as pictured. She even arranged for my transportation from the airport, and to the port as I boarded a cruise ship the next morning. I hope to return and would definitely look her up again as she exceeded my expectations.
Chris was a joy to host. My only regret is that his stay was so short.
Chris I hope you enjoyed the cruise and that you will come again for a longer stay....actually hated to see you go.
You are a wonderful person!
Large airy room, great stay!
Bev is a super host and an interesting person. Room is spacious, clean, and airy. We spent three nights with her and enjoyed the island, including an early morning swim at Browne's Beach with her. Friday night fish fry in Oistins was very good. Bus service to other parts of the island are close by.
A lovely place to stay
This is such a lovely place to stay, in such a great area of Barbados.
Bev made getting there easy by kindly arranging for a taxi driver who she knows to pick us up from the airport, and take us back at the end of our stay.
The apartment itself is spacious, light, bright, clean, pleasant, secluded, private, with a patio terrace at the front, and garden area at the back and side. It's connected to a larger house, owned by very nice people, but it's still a private apartment that feels separate and stand-alone.
The area couldn't be better, for us, right next to the gorgeous wide-open space of the Garrison Savannah and its racecourse, and all the old colonial Garrison buildings, which are either charmingly showing their age or all spick-and-span following conservation and/or re-purposing work.
It's a short walk to bus stops, and a very pleasant walk around the edge of the racecourse takes you to the main coast road, from where you can take buses, ZRs or taxis to wherever you need to go. The nearest beach is probably Drill Hall, and it takes ten minutes at the most to get there on foot. We did it in five. A quick ZR journey will take you further along the coast (or back up towards Bridgetown) in no time at all -- our fave was Worthing, but half the fun is in exploring to find the kind of beach or area that suits you and the kind of day you want.
If/when we return to Barbados, we hope to be able to stay at Bev's lovely rustic cottage again. We were sad to leave. Highly recommended.
Had an amazing time here loved it. Will be going back. The place was very comfortable and Beverley was a brilliant host.
Great value, convenient location.
Beverly is a great hostess, and became a friend. Giving me rides to several places and sharing in every way. The location is walking distance to great beaches and cafes, museums and the horse track. I enjoyed walking by the track in the mornings when the horses, trainers and jockeys where out for exercise and practice. The buses and van taxis are less than a block away, to take you anywhere on the island!
