About Trisha Yelland
I grew up in Wadebridge and still live there on the old family farm. My family also farmed at Port Quin and 2 of my brothers still do. My parents moved to Port Quin when they retired and there is a long family history associated with the area.
Trisha Yelland purchased this Apartment in 1990
Why Trisha Yelland chose Port Quin
Port Quin is one of the few places that has NOT been commercialised with just a scattering of cottages owned by the National Trust and just a few private dwellings. It is situated on the route of the North Cornwall coastal footpath and pasture land all around. My family have lived here for generations.
What makes this Apartment unique
Unique because it is unspoilt and the sea is almost at your doorstep with rolling pastureland behind.

A beautiful property with everything you need. An ideal base for exploring the area. Enjoyed the summer evenings sitting in the garden and on the harbour.
Loved our stay . So peaceful and the view is stunning.
The cottage was comfortable clean and spacious . I would thoroughly recommend a stay .
Clean and we'll equipped, larger than it looks in the photos. Setting is beautiful.
Relaxing but at the same time always something to do whether walking the coastal paths that pass your front door or swimming, kayaking with kayaks provided or just soaking up the sights from the beach. Sunsets were stunning . Just stock up with food and if you want you don't need to move from the cottage at all.
Thank you Trish it was lovely meeting you and so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to seeing you next year.
Wonderful place spotlessly clean, spacious with lots of storage, and fully equipped ,also extremely comfortable with good quality furnishings amazing setting , i would like to add that Trisha ‘s communication was more than exceptional she went out of her way to make sure we had the perfect holiday, we will be defiantly going back to this little gem.
Jacqui, Thank you, it was so nice having you all to stay, and for leaving the house so beautifully clean and tidy. The weather this week is exceptional a shame you had to leave on Saturday. I look forward to seeing you again.
Peace and calm in a well equipped, much loved property
While access to the apartment by road was sometimes a challenge (narrow windy roads) it was always well worth the adrenaline rush to return and unlock the door, pour a drink and sit outside to enjoy the gorgeous views and sunshine. The walking was sublime.
The bed was so comfortable, kitchen well equipped and 'home from home' really. The visitor book says the rest. Thanks to Trisha (owner)
It was lovely having you to stay Sally, so pleased you enjoyed yourselves.
Lovely cottage in beautiful, unspoilt location
We had a lovely stay at 1 Fish Cellars. The cottage is in excellent condition with everything you could need. Beautiful wildflowers waiting for us and the stove ready to be lit. Port Quin is a stunning place with unspoilt, beautiful landscape. We loved exploring the beach, it's caves and rockpools. It was wonderful to be so close to the sea and enjoy the view from the cottage. Just a few steps from the cottage and you're on the beach. Beautiful sunsets and only the sound of the stream, the sea and bird song. Watch the cattle wandering along the hill while you do the washing up! A short walk to the gorgeous coastal path in either direction where wildflowers grow and sea birds fly. If you need any groceries there is a farm shop at nearby St Endellion and our little boy enjoyed the digger and tractor rides there. We really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. It feels like a privilege to stay in such a special place and we hope to visit again soon.
Secluded Port Quin on the Cornish coastal footpath nestling between Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock and Padstow. Ideally located for all types of water sports such as swimming, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking and coasteering from Port Quin, swimming or surfing at Polzeath, sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing at Rock and yet within easy reach of Eden Project, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Newquay Aquarium and Zoo for those not so sunny days. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery from the coastal footpath that runs past the front door or have a round of golf at St. Enodoc or any of the other courses close at hand. Enjoy fine dining at Nathan Outlaw's new restaurant at St. Enodoc, Rock, Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant at Padstow, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate or Nathan Outlaw at Port Isaac. Finally for the shopper there is the market town of Wadebridge.
Other Activities: Kyaking, coasteering
Golf: There are a number of golf courses in the area including St. Enodoc, Roserrow and St. Kew.
