Charming, clean, picturesque home in perfect location for exploring Seattle (1.5 miles to downtown).

This three bedroom dutch colonial is located in the center of historic Queen Anne, near everything. The house comes with full amenities (cable, dishwasher, internet, laundry, etc.), and accommodates 6 comfortably.

The house is baby-proofed and owners can provide baby 'amenities' for guests if needed. Groceries can also be provided as a service (contact owner for details).

The house is tucked back from a lovely and quiet street, with a welcoming garden in front, and a private fenced-in backyard with alley access.

Upper Queen Anne as a neighborhood is quiet despite being in the heart of Seattle, and there is plenty of free parking.

Within a few blocks you have the best Seattle has to offer in restaurants, shopping, exploring, sightseeing, etc...all in walking distance! A 5-7 minute cab ride (20-30 minutes walking) will land you downtown Seattle, South Lake Union, or Fremont. 10-15 minute cab ride gets you to Capital Hill, UW, Ballard or Sodo. Bus line is one block away.

Unclean, not well maintained home in nice, quiet neighborhood

As I read reviews prior to booking, I was prepared for the home to be a bit out-dated/unclean. However, I needed a three-bedroom home on somewhat short notice so I went forward with booking. The owners are quick with responding prior to booking. Unfortunately, the main bathroom was not very clean and the shower needed to be redone/updated (tiles were falling off and mildew/mold was evident.) The kitchen was decent but could use newer pots/pans. The landscape is very overgrown and needs to be maintained. This could help limit bugs in the house. The bedrooms were fine, beds comfy enough. The listing does mention a second toilet in the basement and this is literally all it is - a toilet with a shower curtain - so it is a stretch to call this 1.5 bathrooms. The washer/dryer in the basement is very nice and modern. The neighborhood is residential and very nice, there is a good coffee shop and a donut shop nearby and many places are walkable or short drives away.

Lovely home. Great, no fabulous location. Only 2 complaints:

*No dishwasher soap.

*Blowup was a twin, not a full/queen. Sofa's were not pullouts.

The home worked beautifully to gather our family other than the sleeping arrangements.

a little too worn...

The property could have been cleaned up a little more. There were dust/cobwebs on the wall and the bathroom was in rough shape, tiles falling off and the vent hasn't been cleaned in years. It also smelled...like cats? Not sure what the smell was, it was not so bad once we aired the place out. kitchen was super and bedrooms were just fine. Location GREAT!!!

Very lovely house.

This house is really lovely. Perhaps because they were criticized in the past for the house being dirty, I found the house to be extremely clean -- the smell of cleaning products was in fact overpowering! The beds were super comfortable and everything about the house worked for us. The garden was well-maintained and the rooms pleasant. As others have noted, the "1/2 bath" is a toilet partially behind a shower curtain in the basement. I think the owners could invest fairly inexpensively in a wall there. Also, as with any old house, there are things that could be maintained a bit better. There are several tiles missing from the shower area, for example. I was disappointed that there were not extra keys. When I called the owner, he said the prior guests must have taken them and could we do without. It was ok to just use the lock box, but I would have preferred if the owner had come by to give us some spares. I would book this place again because of the perfect location and comfort of the beds.

Not as advertised

Great location. But extra bathroom was a toilet in an unfurnished basement with a curtain, and a utility sink. Hardly useful. Landscaping needed some serious trimming both in the front and backyard. Backyard patio furniture dirty and unable to be used. Also spider were found in master, bathroom, back porch, basement. Child proofed? Not even basics covered: No cabinets were locked, cleaning products under sink, no gate for stairs, table corners exposed. The screens in windows were barely in and kept falling off. Place needs some work. I guess the beds and sheets were clean.

Owner's Response: Hi Sam, Thanks for your stay, and feedback. Sorry to hear the place wasn't up to standard. I'll certainly improve the property based on the items you listed. I'll also make sure I mention in the instructions that the baby gates, high chair, and pack n play are all located in the basement. It's true the 1/2 bath is in the basement, and not modern but it's just intended for a quick break should somebody be using the main shower. Thanks again, Blair
