Disappointing value for money.

  • 2 of 5

Lovely cottage in quiet cul de sac in superb location with easy walking access to town centre. Lovely garden too. The interior needs a wee freshen up tho. However this is let down by poor quality beds and very poor standard of cleanliness ..... dirty oven, pots and crockery. Don't think the cleaners knew the basics of hoovering and dusting. Cigarette ends scattered on ground outside front door. Hot water tank not switched on for our arrival. Very basic issues not been carried out really. For what we paid I wouldn't use this property again .... i have paid the same amount of money for similar or bigger properties which were far superior by comparison.

Quiet and peaceful home base

  • 5 of 5

This property was very comfortable, quiet and well located for exploring the Highlands. It was spotless-clean and everything was in working order. The owner always responded to e-mails very promptly and he promptly returned my security deposit. I highly recommend this property. It's much cheaper than a hotel!

Great base for visiting Aviemore

  • 5 of 5

Just had a weeks stay here and the house was in a great location - 10 minute walk in to town. Near cycle routes into town, Rothiemurchus and the Spey Way. House offered all we needed for a fabulous holiday - close to Highland Wildlife Park, Landmark and great forest walks around Loch Morlich and Loch an Eilan. Would love to go back!

Excellent stay will be returning

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Slowne Cottage for a week, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and we felt very at home there. The heating/hot water was excellent and having a washing machine was an added bonus. It was a short drive away from Aveimore and the parking was cheap!! The golf club around the corner has a swimming pool and you can eat/drink there. All in all it is an excellent base for skiing/sightseeing and we would not hesitate to recommend this property and look forward to booking again in the future.

Excellent MUCH BIGGER THAN THE PICTURES SUGGEST

  • 5 of 5

This property was booked very last minute with much assistance from the owner and management team. The welcoming pack was informative and up to date with useful recommendations where to eat and shop etc.

The pictures do not do this property justice it is massive inside with lots of space and well heated which was important for the time of year we went.

It truly did feel like home from home, we settled in quickly. It has everything you need from knife forks spoons and clean bedding.

The location is perfect for the best skiing resort in Scotland being only 20 mins away. On the days the main resort was closed due to high winds we were still in drivable range to other resorts such as Lecht a great resort for beginners.

We enjoyed our stay so much we want to go back in the summer too as there are lots of outdoor activities literally on your doorstep.

We have nicked named this property "The Tardis" as it looks small but actually opens up surprisingly well and the kitchen is a good size to sit down at the end of a hard days skiing or adventure with the family for a meal.

Do not hesitate to book this property it is brilliant with a helpful owner and a management team who were happy to help during the busy festive season.

A massive thumbs up from the Carlisle family Richmond.
