After toasting an amazing crimson sunset, the gathered wood is coaxed into a welcoming roaring bonfire, that invites you to roast marshmallows, chill and prepare your expectations for another great day in the morning.

If you are dreaming of again enjoying those endless lazy days relaxing on an expansive, uncrowded, pristine sugar-white sand beach, then you are dreaming of a Moonshadow vacation !

Moonshadow is a freshly remodeled, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom 'jewel-box' of a gulf-front vacation house, with all the amenities you expect, and deserve, to fulfill your beach get-away dream.

The kitchen is all new, from the high-end stainless appliances to the solid surface counters and cherry cabinets. All three bedrooms have brand-new luxurious king bedding and flat-panel tvs with blu-ray dvd players. En suite bathrooms adjoin two master bedrooms, and the third bedroom shares the hall guest bath.

The spacious family room features beautiful water-front vistas, as well as a 60 inch plasma tv, when you are in the movie-watching or gaming mode !

Every room in the house has ceiling fans, including the comfortable screened porch/outdoor dining room.

When you venture outside, the gas bbq is ready to grill your meal to perfection, while you lounge in the nearby hammock.

There is carport parking under the house, as well as generous space to store your watercraft, etc. In front. There is a large storage room, containing chairs, 'floaties' and other toys to assure that you fully enjoy the beach, as well as a cart to carry your possessions to the welcoming white sands.

Upon your return, there is a convenient, private outdoor shower to rinse off before you go inside.

If you still want to 'catch some rays', there is a large 8' x 30' deck off the family room and/or screened porch, also ideal for just 'vegging'.

We are Gulf-coast natives, who grew up in this area, have traveled, lived and worked all over the country, and have had the good-sense and good-fortune to have returned to this paradise.

We have experienced the beach communities on both coasts, and know with confidence that none compare to the special, unspoiled gem here at Cape San Blas.

Really functional property in a great, quiet location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Moonshadow. The property is close enough to Port St. Joe to make trips to town fairly easy but secluded enough to make it very peaceful. All the beds were very comfortable and the big kitchen/family room area makes it perfect for family groups. It was our first trip to Cape San Blas but will certainly not be our last.

Wonderful

Close to the beach, really nice fixed up place. The pet squirrel off the deck was awesome. If i had to come up with a negative, it needs a fish cleaning station and somewhere to dump the remains. All in all its a top notch place.

Perfect beach, great house just 2 steps away from the boardwalk down through the dunes.

We had a wonderful stay in Port Saint Joe. This house was perfect for our family and we LOVED being so close (just a 2 minute, very short walk down the boardwalk) from the beaches. We wanted to stay in Port Saint Joe because the towns around Seaside get so PACKED during Spring Break weeks. The beach in Port Saint Joe was beautiful, not crowded at all, and not over-run with condos and high rises. Just lovely beach houses on stilts, set far back enough past the dunes. The ONLY draw back to this beach was that cars are allowed to drive on the sand, and with 3 little ones to keep an eye on, this concerned us a little, but the drivers go very slowly and are super careful. We would only see 3-4 cars come by during the entire day. The outdoor, heated shower at the house was WONDERFUL for washing off sandy/salty boys before we went into the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Definitely a Gem on the Sea

We had such a wonderful time at Moonshadow and John was super easy to work with. Our family loved the location. It's at the end of the road, on the beach, but built a ways back past the dunes so that it has a more private feel than most beach homes. We loved the little boardwalk and path to the beach, and the beach, itself, was very open and perfectly populated. Nobody near us, but people walking by now and then. We did have a number of trucks and vehicles driving down the beach which wasn't what we expected, but it was fine. And, yes, there are neighbors' rentals next to Moonshadow, but most of the time nobody else was there and the people that did show up were really friendly. Overall, much more private than most beach homes.

The house was spotless!!! Yay! And newly renovated!!! Yay! Two years ago we grew tired of renting beach homes that had a sort of "grime factor" and gave up going to the beach until now, but you can tell right away that Moonshadow is well cared for and the owner cares about the renters. Nice appliances, pretty faucets, bountiful televisions, comfortable furniture.

We rented kayaks one day from Seahorse Water Safaris at the Port St. Joe Marina and the lady working there was very nice. Also, the couple working at The Port liquor store was very funny and friendly. The manager at the Piggly Wiggly was all about helping us find what we were looking for. Great customer service at all places.
