We spent 8 nights in this Cabin with 2 of our teenage Grandchildren and our Sister in law. The cabin is very clean and homey it has every thing you'll need and if you run low on anything the management is a phone call away and they bring it within a short amount of time. When Jay Sargent called us on our second day to touch base and see how our arrival was we mentioned that the refrigerator did not seem to be working properly, he made the 4-5 hour trip the next morning to bring a new one.
We can't say enough about the cabin and area, close to Greer lakes and the little Colorado and Big lake is just 30 to 40 minutes away( we love to fish). We spent our mornings relaxing on the porch enjoying the wild life from hummingbirds a plenty, to deer, squirrels etc.
I have to mention the journals that are kept in the cabin, we loved, loved, loved them, writings from past quest dating back to the 90's
Thank you ! Jay Sargent, you could not have made our stay any more enjoyable! We will definitely be back. ❤️
It was our first vacation in two years and we enjoyed every minute. The cabin is nestled just far enough away to get away from the crowd but close enough to restaurants for a nice evening walk. It was very clean and had all the amenities, just bring your clothes and food. We saw lots of wildlife including dear, big horn sheep, and lots of birds. The owner called to check if there was anything we needed during our stay. There is a horseshoe pit out front where the family enjoyed many hours of playing. The cabin was cozy for evening board games and watching a little TV. The grill had a full tank so we enjoyed lots of nightly cookouts. I would highly recommend this cabin!
We had a girlfriends getaway for Greer Days and we were lucky enough to get this cabin. The location is perfect...close enough to walk to the main part of town, but far enough away for wildlife to come around the cabin in the early morning and early evening hours. The cabin was clean and well maintained with a fully stocked kitchen.....I mean this kitchen had everything. We had a small dog with us, and the cabin included a small baby gate that we could use to keep the puppy safe. The cabin also has a great wifi connection, but I would recommend that you put down your phones and enjoy the wildlife. The owner of the cabin stopped by to make sure that we were enjoying our stay, and our stay went from excellent to phenomenal. He gave us some of the history of Greer and it's people, including the history of some of the other cabins in the area, as well as, sights to see, and things to do. He brought Greer to life for us and we left with a warmer feeling for the town. It is obvious that he loves Greer and it's people and he made us love it too. We can't wait to go back. I now hope to make Greer Days an annual vacation stay, and I hope that I can get this same cabin or another cabin with the same owner. What an AMAZING stay.
My wife and I had three perfect nights in this clean and comfortable cabin. We appreciated the pristine condition in which we found it. As a tall guy, I loved the wash basin in the bathroom as it was built for those of us over six feet! The beds struck that balance between firm and soft that it so hard to find. The kitchen had every item you could want and we found the living room furniture to be very relaxing. The cabin is close to everything in the village, but tucked away enough that you feel off in your own world. Given that cell service is spotty, we appreciated the free WiFi so that we could stay in touch with our kids via our IPhones. Plus, the cabin has a landline for emergencies. Jay, the cabin owner, called the day we left to ask how we had enjoyed our stay, which was an appreciated personal touch. We will definitely rent this property again, especially to see some fall colors!
We stayed there over the Greer days in June and loved this cabin. Great location, right off the main road but far enough up in the woods to have the deer stroll by. We walked down to the main street in Greer to shop and see the parade Saturday morning which was really enjoyable. The cabin was clean and had everything we need. So nice to have a fully stocked kitchen, extra towels, linens, etc. Wifi worked great. And the porch area was screened and even had a baby gate so my little dog couldn't escape. Jay came to by to say Hello and see how we were doing. Such a nice guy and enjoyed meeting him. This is our new go to place.
We celebrated our anniversary at this charming, cozy cabin in Greer and had a wonderful weekend. I'm a little 'picky' about cleanliness (if it's not clean, I'm not comfortable) and this cabin absolutely met my standards of both clean and comfortable. The TV and sofa are even nicer/newer than in these pictures (TV is flat-screen). The propane tank for the grill was completely full, a fact my husband appreciated as we've experienced other rentals where there was a grill but no propane, ugh. We were able to bring our Labrador who loved walking in the woods and then relaxing on the deck watching the squirrels, birds and jackrabbits. Shortly after we arrived, as I was walking our dog outside the cabin, she stopped in full 'hunter' mode and focused her gaze on the woods behind our cabin... after a minute I was able to spot the four! deer she had already seen; I would've missed them completely if she hadn't seen them (fortunately she is not a barker so we were able to watch them for several minutes before they moved on). For the remainder of our stay, we kept an eye out for those deer and saw them every evening and two mornings, grazing in the wooded area behind the cabin. Shortly before we left on our last morning the owner arrived to install a new dishwasher in the cabin and gave us a tour and history of the old (nearly 100 years!) one-room cabin on the property... very interesting! Jay is an owner who obviously takes pride in his cabin (for good reason) and is very friendly and considerate; we'd definitely rent from him again! All in all, we'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful stay in Greer!
