This beautiful 4 bedroom 4.5 bath home is situated on our family-owned WORKING 78-acre horse farm which specializes in trail rides. This is a working farm and you will see farm equipment both sitting around and in use. Please be careful and supervise your children. The farm's equipment are not toys.
We are convenient to Indianapolis, Indianapolis International Airport, Childrens Musuem and other area attractions. Indianapolis is known for motor sports — Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Lucas Oil Raceway are easy to get to, yet far enough away to relax and enjoy yourself. You can also find out what is happening in our area during your stay by checking out the websites for Hendricks County Visitors Bureau or Visit Indy.
Although their are plenty of dining out options within 25 minutes of the home, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and utensils for you to use to make meals at home. There is a gas grille on our spacious, private back porch for the grill masters in your group to use or if you want to dine by our lake there is a gas grille in our lakeside shelter.
Spend your day and evening sitting on our wrap-around porch watching our horses and goats at the Ranch, you'll probably see our free range chickens, ducks and pot belly pigs roaming around the property. Your evenings could be complete with a bon fire either by the house or by the lake.
Feel like fishing? Grab your pole and take a short walk to our 3-acre stocked lake for some bluegill, crappie or bass. We currently have a canoe, boat and 2 paddle boats for your use at no extra charge. Bring your fly rod and head over to White Lick Creek and catch some small mouth bass. The home does not overlook our lake, but is on our property. Please be sure to check google maps if you are unsure of the walk.
Other options for fun while you are stay at The Cottage are playing basketball by the house or volleyball by the lake. Trail rides are what we specialize in so don't miss out on making more memories by riding one of our horses with a guide on our trails that meander through 50 acres of woods, fields and sometimes White Lick Creak. We offer 30 minute, 60 minute or 90 minute trail rides.

Family-friendly and family fun . . . you will discover the difference that family makes when you discover Natural Valley Ranch!
Our families enjoyed a wonderful Christmas at your property. The house was perfect for 9 people plus a baby! All best wishes for the New Year to you and your family.
We had a Fun 2 nights at the cottage. We did a mom's night one and a 4 family sleepover the second. Kids had fun playing and watching movies in the basement, adults socialized and played games on the main floor. Plenty of space for all of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom. Kids also enjoyed seeing the horses. This was a fun getaway just miles from our own home, but felt like we were on a small vacation. Thanks!!
It worked well for our family. We enjoyed our stay. Would like to use again in future. Children found under ware under couch and there was some on shelf in closet in master bedroom.
We were truly blessed to find and choose the cottage at Natural Valley Ranch for our 3-day Summer Family Gathering (11 adults and four children, ages 2,4,5,6). We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely, quiet, secluded, calming, place to gather and relax in the country and in nature. We felt absolutely right at home, had the place to ourselves, with plenty of room to spread out our stuff in each room. Beds were comfortable. The weather didn’t cooperate as it rained most of the time, but there was enough room for the kids to play with their toys indoors, and we enjoyed the long porch with the wonderful rocking chairs. The patio also had lots of room, chairs & tables, for all of us to sit outside in the evening after the rained stopped. The house was clean and well maintained, yet casual enough that we felt comfortable using the furnishings without fussing. Very cleverly, and thoughtfully, decorated (with reminders to Be Still and let your thoughts clear). It was wonderful to find the kitchen stocked with all kinds of lovely and useful dishes, pans, utensils, and appliances (even spices) that we had all we needed to enjoy cooking every meal together. We intended to sightsee in Indy, but ended up staying at the ranch the whole time, visiting and taking some time to see the animals, play around with boats/canoe on the pond, hiking in the woods. They have a variety of sports equipment in the garage for coming up with impromptu games. It felt secluded in the country and yet was a quick trip to get to Brownsburg for supplies, etc. Plus an easy drive to many Indy attractions. It suited our gathering ASOLUTELY PERFECTLY!! ( I can’t think of a way to emphasize that enough – I was in awe at how perfectly it fit our plans). Thank you to the owners for all your thoughtfulness in what you provide.
I would definitely recommend staying at the cottage at Natural Valley Ranch. Not only was the property precisely as described but it was clean and well maintained as well. Marie provided great information about how to leave the property when we departed and also what area attractions were available during our stay. Our group took advantage of several trail rides which was wonderful, and we also visited the petting zoo and fed the animals. This provided a great respite from city life while we were there. There were also some good walking paths in the area. We liked the spacious kitchen and the deck area for relaxing in the evenings. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. The laundry room was also rather useful, especially after one trail ride took us into deep water on horseback. The building was often visited by the local animals, though we were good at not letting them indoors. This house has a lot of cat-themed decor and country style. Probably the biggest downside is occasionally bizarre wiring meaning that some light switches were in unfortunate locations, but that is a small complaint when considering an otherwise idyllic stay at a great property
It's country back woods, with a privacy you crave for an escape and an easy access route to find from the city or any location you're traveling from.
Cozy, safe and a place you won't want to leave and daydream about returning SOON!
Property had plenty to do. Kids tried fishing and boating. City kids loved the country. Kitchen well appointed, needed nothing. Beds very comfortable. Would stay again.
The home is located on 75 acres. We have trail for hiking or horseback rental. You may fish in our pond or White Lick Creek. Close to Indianapolis for museums, zoo, theater, sporting events etc.
