Rosies Place is a completely renovated studio apartment with a luxurious look and feel, especially designed for people who want to have a nice holiday break in Amsterdam.
Rosies Place is situated right in the city center of Amsterdam, within the so-called canal ring. Our house is tucked away in a small quite street of the Jordaan. Around the corner you will find restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, markets and lot’s more. Also the museums are close by. Even closer is the Anne Frank House.
Rosies Place is on the first floor of our house, accessible by a steep staircase. It’s more than suitable for 2/3 adults or 2 adults with 2 small children. It has a king size bed and a sofa which we can convert into a single bed or double bed. You have a dining bar, which sit 2/3 adults and a design rocking chair. Candles for a romantic touch are everywhere in Rosies Place.
The kitchen is fully equipped, beside the dishwasher (really important), two induction hobs, fridge, microwave, you will find coffee, tea, milk, sugar, oil and herbs. If you want we can provide breakfast at any time in the morning. Just let us know.
The bathroom has a big rain and hand shower. Towels, soap and shampoo (from Rituals) are provided for you. If you need clean towels just drop them outside in the washing bin and you will have clean ones immediately.
The terrace has SUN ! What else can we say. Sun in the morning for your coffee, sun during your lunch, sun in the afternoon drinking your beer or wine. But he it’s Holland so keep your fingers crossed that the sun will shine :-)
On arrival you will find in Rosies Place :
A nice bottle of white wine (or red if you prefer)
Coffee from Nespresso
Tea from Mr. Jones
Dutch candy (drop) and cookies
Plus a citymap of Amsterdam.
Your bed is already made up and bathroom linen, soap and shampoo (from Rituals) is provided for. Of course you have free WiFi in Rosies Place.
Hi, We are Astrid (43) and Rick (42), we have two sons, Joris (12) and Jesse (5). Rick is born and raised in Amsterdam and I moved 25 years ago to Amsterdam. Before we settled down we have travelled the world and stayed also at other people houses. We like to think that by staying with locals you’ll see a different city. Of course we will help you to explore the city and if we have the time we will show you around. If the weather permits, and if our schedule allows it we can go for a boot trip or have a drink at our rooftop.
Astrid and Rick purchased this studio in 2001
It was our dream that one day a small piece of Amsterdam would be ours. Once back in Amsterdam we decided to chase our dream. 13 years ago we bought our town house, which was build in 1897 and stood the test of time really well.
Located in the best part of Amsterdam, called the Jordaan. Our street is really quiet but around the corner you will see the most picturesque street with all little restaurants, bars and shops with in the background the Wester Church. For us one of the reasons to buy the house.
Rosie's Place is owned by Astrid and Rick, who are very welcoming hosts. The charming neighborhood is great for walking, dining, shopping, and the apartment is spotlessly clean, with everything you need for your stay in Amsterdam. Public transportation is nearby, and many sights can be reached by walking. We recommend this property, which was accurately represented by the hosts. We hope to stay here again!
Astrid and Rick's "Rosie's Place" apartment was the perfect start for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration vacation. Warm and cozy the apartment was a great place to come back to after walking this wonderful city each day. Astrid and Rick were very helpful and kind to us throughout our stay - terrific suggestions and just a lovely family atmosphere. The city is awesome and certainly a return trip is contemplated.
Rosies Place is an absolutely perfect place to stay while in Amsterdam. Astrid and Rick have created a place that is warm, inviting, and totally comfortable for a day, a week, a month? in an equally inviting city. Astrid's hospitality included rescuing us off the street when we were hopelessly lost and it was like coming home. The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean, and includes everything one could ask for (even a cold bottle of wine in the refrigerator.) The bed is very comfortable and the linens are high quality throughout. The location is excellent. It is on a very quiet street and yet close to great food, a short distance to museums, Anne Frank House, and other attractions. We could not have been more pleased with Rosies Place and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when we return to Amsterdam.
Astrid and Rick, we can't thank you enough for letting us share your great home over the Holidays. My husband and I had a lovely time and Rosies Place was so nice to come back to after a long day of walking and exploring the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Jordaan is a wonderful neighborhood and very quite. It was just lovely. Spectacular hospitality and location. Rick was nice enough to give us a ride to the train station so we didn't have to carry our luggage down the street to the GVB stop. If you are ever thinking of visiting Amsterdam, do yourself a favor and stay here! You won't be disappointed. Thank you again Astrid and Rick! We hope to be back soon! All the best!!
Our New Years trip to Amsterdam was especially memorable because of this rental! We were invited to celebrate with their family and friends (champagne, fireworks, and oliebollen) after the major fireworks show at Oosterdok. Astrid provided everything we could have possibly needed during our 4 evening stay. The comfortable bed, the Nespresso every morning, the fragrant bath supplies, and the fresh linens--all within this European-minimalist designed studio. The tram stop is a 3 blocks away so we purchased daily passes to get where we needed to quickly. Otherwise, it is a 15-25 minute walk to the main attractions. We liked being away from the loudness of the city center and the Jordaan district provided as a backdrop for some of our best canal photos. I would recommend getting The Holland Pass (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Heineken Experience, Canal Tour day and night, Cheese Tasting). Purchase your Anne Frank tickets online to avoid that line!
You are renting the second floor of the hosts' home, so you have to be considerate of the noise you make. Walls are thin! Those stairs are very steep--very thankful for the assistance with our luggage! Otherwise, they are not a problem. Astrid and Rick did a fantastic job on the studio and I do hope they know all the little touches were very much appreciated! They were excellent hosts and we would certainly rent from them again, as well as recommend them to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
Nice location. About 15-20 minutes walk from the Centraal station. Walking is the best option as getting a cab is difficult and the tram stops a bit away. All the major attractions are with in 30-35 minute walking radius. The apartment is nicely decorated and comfortable. All the basic kitchen needs are stocked. The stairs to the first floor are a bit steep and need getting used to. The heating needs to be moved up a couple of notches though. There are several good eating options nearby. La Perla is good and so is Humus Bistro.
Located in the Jordaan, center of Amsterdam. Anne Frank museum and the Western church are 5 minutes walking. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops and galleries around the corner. Local markets on Monday and Saturday morning.
