LOCATION!! LOCATION!! This sun-drenched home is in a quiet location in charming Bellport Village, one property in from the Great South Bay. Short walk/bike ride to town, marina and summer ferry to private Fire Island ocean beach, sailing lessons, golf, tennis, yoga, shops, galleries and restaurants. Bellport's quaint village and marina are home to summer-time concerts where villagers and out-of-town visitors mingle and feel far away from New York City to the West (a 1 - 2 hour commute by car or train) and the Hamptons, 18+ miles to the East.

Located in a quiet family neighborhood, this is not a party home but is the perfect place to enjoy time together with your friends and family! The main floor includes a large living room, half bath, washer/dryer, study, well equipped kitchen, dining room (table seats up to 12) , and a large (25' x 13') screened-in-porch with bay views. The second floor features three bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen and two twin beds; all high-end mattresses and bedding), two baths, plus a deck off the master bedroom - perfect for taking in sunrise and sunset views over the bay. Other amenities include an outdoor shower, gas grill, cable TV, high-speed internet, central A/C, outdoor furniture, fireplace (for winter usage) 1-car garage and over half an acre of land.

Our family of five lives in Boulder, Colorado but has vacationed in Bellport for the past twenty years. We originally commuted to Bellport from New York City on summer weekends. When our three boys were young, we greatly appreciated the easy 1-1.5 hour commute and the many Village of Bellport amenities. We enjoyed Bellport so much that we have continued to visit every year since moving to Boulder in 1999. Our children have participated in the wonderful Bellport day camp, and the whole family has enjoyed the world-class sailing program made available through the yacht club and excellent tennis and golf lessons from the Village of Bellport Country Club. In many ways, Bellport is our home and we are thrilled to finally own a vacation home in a very special Village of Bellport location.

Why Deborah Malden chose Long Island

A short walk or bike ride to the ferry which takes passengers to Fire Island and Bellport's very own Ho-Hum Beach where you'll find a snack shack and showers on the bay side and the all-important (if you have children) life-guard stand at the ocean. The beach has only the ocean, the dunes and silky white sand that stretches for miles to the east and west. Bellport's quaint village and marina are home to summer-time concerts where villagers and out-of-town visitors mingle and feel far away from New York City, which is only 65 miles to the west.

Please note that the ferry is available to Bellport Village ID holders and their guests and runs seasonally six days a week. See for information about the ferry schedule. Village IDs are available to renters of this property and cost $275 per family of five or $75 per person (2014 rates). Village ID holders and their guests may also play golf at the Bellport Country Club.

Wonderful immaculate home close to everything

We had such a lovely time staying in this comfortable home within walking distance to all that Bellport Village has to offer. This quiet peaceful home had great flow, with separate living, dining, and screened in porch so the whole family could spread out and enjoy multiple activities. Property manager Judy was friendly and attentive to all our needs. The house itself is remarkably well-equipped, and the kitchen was so well organized that everything was located just where you'd expect to find it in a well-functioning household. We needed a small repair done during our stay and a friendly handyman showed up within the hour to perform the repair, we couldn't have asked for better service. The bed linens were top quality high thread count, it was like being in a hotel. Plus the view of the Bay from the upstairs back deck was breathtaking. All in all a terrific experience in a meticulously maintained home.

Lovely comfortable house close to town

I would just like to say........visitors from the UK take note! There is more to the state of New York than just Manhattan Island......try Long Island for a beach holiday, its great!!

We recently visited the USA from the UK staying a few days with our son in Forest Hills, a week in Bellport, and a few more days in Forest Hills. Bellport is an easy drive from Forest Hills, taking less than an hour. The house was really comfortable with everything a long-haul visitor could require, including lots of towels, beach towels and four bikes! The bedding and beds were very luxurious, especially the super king in the master bedroom! And the balcony off the master bedroom was a treat; so nice to be able to sit and watch the morning sun glinting off the sea.

The town itself is within easy walking distance of the house, as are the shops and restaurants, which was why I chose Bellport as opposed to other towns where a car appeared to be necessary to get around. And the town is really pretty with its small harbour, neat gardens and pretty flowers.

The property owner was very generous with information, and the property manager was most helpful, bringing round supplies of bin bags, washing up liquid etc as soon as we contacted her.

A very relaxing place to stay, and so quiet too!

Unsuspected Job change - Perfect Temporary Home - A++ Location Bellport Village Better than Hamptons

Having to relocated from NJ on very short notice for a new job, we were in search for a temporary home while we searched to a home to buy. We began our stay here Nov 1 with our two dogs. Only an hour ride from mid town tunnel.

About the place: it is completely furnished down to towels, kitchen appliances, and bbq grill. (No need to bring anything but if needed, like in our case, we brought all of our belongings from NJ and stores them in finished basement).

Although this is an ideal summer house, it's extremely tranquil, peaceful and an amazing getaway for the winter. A 2 minute walk to bellport bay, and amazing full waterviews from the backyard and the porch from the master bedroom. You are

On a culdosac where most neighbors are not around during the winter and the few that are, are amazing.

I personally grew up only 5 minutes away from this rental, and it truly showcases what Long Island and bellport is all about. 3 great restaurants all within a 5 min walk. Grocery store, pizza place and deli all in town again 5 min walk.

The views are picture perfect, views of bellport dock, the "new inlet", and all of bellport "ho hum" beach (ferry 5 min walk). I could only imagine living here during the summer as it would be a naturists/outdoor persons dream. At night you get Beautiful sky views (Stars galore).

This house a artist/photographers dream.

Morning sunrises and Afternoon sunsets are like no other.

We currently enjoy the wood burning fireplace daily, and the outdoor porch during the day(the sun keeps in warm enough during the day).

More than anything, is the location. I lived in long island for 20 years and have finally returned after being away for over a decade. I would chose Bellport Village over the Hamptons anyday, and the proof we purchased our new house minutes away. Bellport village is a secret unknown to most visitors but one that is well worth coming to see.

Wonderful Stay in Bellport

We had a wonderful one week vacation as part of a family reunion in Bellport staying at this house. It is in excellent condition, with a large kitchen and eating area and a large porch where we ate breakfast and dinner most days. We played croquet in a good sized yard. The beds were comfortable, the house was convenient to town, the house was very clean, and from the master bedroom there is a view of the bay. Great place to stay.

Hi Debbie,

What a fantastic weekend we had at your house. It was truly perfect for our needs and we are three cooks (my husband just BBQs) who were all impresses by how well stocked it is for a rental. We also love all your choices for bedding and dishes and decorating. We made more many incredible salads and had a certified "foodie" weekend. We truly loved it!!!

Just so you know we broke the bottom screen in the front door by accident so I left some money and a note for Judy on the desk in the front room. If you need more $, just let me know. I can totally see the care you put into making it as nice and comfortable as possible!

Great home!

Spent a long weekend in October. Home was perfect for our family. Our daughter lives in Long Island and we were able to connect with her and her boyfriend, and his family. Convenient location. Historic bellport area has very nice restaurants. Sunrise from the master bedroom deck was beautiful. Enjoyed meals in the enclosed sunroom. The property manager is very helpful. Hope to visit again.
